I picked this Arnold piece up recently and was happily listening to it when suddenly it was over. I thought for certain I had somehow hit the off button or cut the power but no, the wonderful music was over.
Little did I know that the piece was a mere 17 minutes and 42 seconds in length. Gosh, I really wish it was longer! Sort of reminds me of my copy of Cast A Giant Shadow at 29:27, another release I wish were longer.

Oh well, just musing.
A great suite. But there isn't that much music in the film that is not in the rhapsody. All the themes are there.
Did you really mean 17:42? I have two versions of this, and they're both under eight minutes. Is there another on that's actually 17:42?
Good catch. I was not looking at the cd itself when I wrote this. I guess I was too intent on making my point. Anyway, I used Soundtrack Collector as a reference on the length of the cd. The cd also contains music from 1942s Malta GC so is a total of the 17:42.
