I'm trying to replicate two synth sounds Jerry used in a couple of his scores.
The first is an echoing percussive hit found throughout "The Haunting," but at it's coolest in "Finally Home" starting at 2:37.
The second is a particular "clanging" synth effect he uses repeatedly in "The Vanishing." You can hear it in the cue "Diane's Missing" starting at 1:49.
If anyone has any idea what synths may have produced these sounds, I could really use the help. The one in "The Haunting" is particularly baffling, since its attack sounds almost acoustic in nature.
