LA FEMME INFIDELE I haven't been knocked out by the Chabrol I've seen in the past. Is this one particularly outstanding? And thanks for reminding me about the Bresson. I don't know how I could forget him!

Most film critics and historians will go on and on about the Greatest Year in Hollywood being 1939, when the movies released in that one year, were some of the best movies ever made and that would stand the test of time. I agree. When I was in high school, my senior year, 1969, It seemed every time I went to the movies I came out changed- Not that every thing I saw I thought was great, rather, everything I saw was great, beginning with: The Wild Bunch Midnight Cowboy Easy Rider Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Once Upon A Time In The West They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Alice's Restaurant True Grit Women In Love The Bed-Sitting Room There are many, many more.
