Hi Ford, I ordered this the day it was announced from MovieMusic! But it took almost a month before they received any stock from BSX! It finally was shipped to me 2 days ago. I am looking forward to it as I am a fan of Carl Davis.

Similar problem with MovieMuisic.com and this may be the reason for the lack of responses for the release. People are ordering from other sources that BSX is delaying shipments to.

I ordered my copy along with other scores from Screen Archives. I like the convenience of ordering everything from one outlet.

Sure, I'd love to hear this, but...

The thought of financing one more chicken nugget into you
mug, Ford, sickens me.

I'll wait for a used copy to show up somewhere...which is probably
going to happen faster than ordering from your site.

Have to agree here. Ordering directly from BSX and you have to hunt them for shipping the CDs and it takes along time. I ordered this from Intrada as it is a good release, but buying directly from BSX I have stopped doing after having several problems with not getting the CDs I have ordered (once it took over 6 months before CDs arrived and when it did I got some wrong CDs sent to me)
Sorry , but being more customerfriendly like other labels are and reply to emails etc would probably make it better

The Silva CD "History of Horror" has a good 10-minute suite.

I believe I picked up info that chicken nuggets are not chicken at all!

Nevertheless I enjoy much of Carl Davis' work which usually comes out on his own label.

Always felt that way about Carl Davis. Dare one hope for more of his titles from BSX?

This hasn't gotten much talk here, but what a terrific, old-fashioned symphonic score! Davis is obviously better known for very British dramas (though he was born and raised in New York) and scores for silent movies, but this moody, classically influenced horror score makes me wish he'd gotten more out-of-the-box assignments.

I hope the silence here doesn't mean the CD is selling poorly, because it deserves better than that. And I'm still hoping for Davis's great score for "Hollywood" to someday reach CD!

This is a really good score ... classic symphonic scoring at its best ... we dont see much of that nowadays ...
