I just listened to samples from this Moviescore Media/Kronos Records release:

WOW!!

Where did that come from?!...

A travel back to the glory days of the '80s with all that orchestral splendor from the likes of James Horner and Bruce Broughton we so miss nowadays!

Don't believe me?

Proof number one:

Proof number two:

Boy, I fell in love with this one!
Most definitely one of the year's absolute best!...

This came and went without anyone noticing. A shame, because it's really wonderful. One of those gems that would satisfy all the suckers for traditional symphonic scoring around here.

I played it a couple times. Thought I'd mentioned it but I guess not, unless there was another thread. I enjoyed it well enough but it didn't really grab me the way Legends of Chima, released around the same time, did. Another good fantasy score from MSM is Atlantis: The Last Days of Kaptara.

I'm one of those traditional suckers and some how I missed this thread! smile Lovely music! Reminds me of Joe Hisaishi. Appreciate the bump, I'll check out the rest of the samples on Amazon.
