I agree with the OP. Home Alone was my favorite until I discovered Santa Claus: The Movie a few years ago (I was actually listing to it earlier this morning). The 3 CD release from Quartet is an all time favorite and a must listen every holiday season now.
Jingle All the Way, Gremlins, Scrooged, and A Charlie Brown Christmas will also be getting a lot of play over the coming weeks.
And looking forward to the three holiday titles Intrada is releasing next week too!

I’m not sure if I should make another thread
…or post here, but if possible Music Lovers – can anyone make out the correct lyrics to “Making Toys” – this tune is undoubtedly one of the greatest themes ever written in my opinion, it has a similar structure to the Superman “march” composed by Williams, and I would love it – if I could recite those lyrics – even if need be – say them rather than sing them at Christmas gatherings. I’m yet to know the correct lyrics, a pity they weren’t included in the liner notes.
Below is what I can make out of the lyrics myself:
The first 2 versus I made out, as the orchestra wasn’t as big (yet).
But the last 2 versus are quite difficult to make out? Especially the big Finale.
The Children’s Choir was used for the first two versus, and then I decided to use the men’s choir for the latter versus. I’ve typed out what I can make out of the lyrics myself, while also adding spaces in the parts where I’m unsure.
If you love this score as much as I do – then please – perhaps you’re music/stereo/speaker system is better than mine – and you’ll be able to make out what our choir is singing. I believe my lyrics are 75% correct. But unfortunately – the parts I can’t make out – is where it’s the hardest – as the orchestra does respectably so – take over, and I don’t blame them, but lyrics should have been included – don’t you agree?

Has anybody heard anything about these going out of print?
Home Alone 2 and Santa Claus: The Movie are still in print and as far as I know there is no information about bot titles going out of print soon. Home Alone is out of print since earlier this year.

Just listening to the Quartet Santa Claus release and the track "The World Is Different" just came on.....breaks my heart everytime I hear it. Home Alone is wonderful but Santa Claus all the way for this listener. Oh, and I just purchased the movie, Santa Claus The Movie, in HD on Canada iTunes for $6.95 (!) for those interested.
It should also still be available on Blu-ray (Region 1), which includes a 50-minute making of. Quite in-depth.
