Sunday

Totally uninterested in finding out what the new Varese club releases are. Refuse to stay up half the night just to see if maybe some unreleased Goldsmith gem is coming out. Don't even care to find out what the new releases are. Will actively avoid any message board threads about the topic. I have plenty of music. What could possibly be still unreleased that I'd care about anyway?

Monday

28minutes?! Are you kidding me? Twenty bucks for 28 minutes of music? And only 12 minutes is anything new. The suite was just fine, covered all the bases, why should I shell out 71 cents a minute for this? Money's too tight. I've got children to feed! What am I, collecting bottle caps or something? Jerry would be proud of me for sticking with the suite. There's more than enough wonderful music in that suite to satisfy anyone.

Tuesday

Ordered Escape From the Planet of the Apes.

Wednesday

Noticed that the Cain's Hundred tracks in my ipod show up with "Jerry Goldmith" as composer. Really? Goldmith? Someone needs to double check their typing before submitting track titles to CDDB.

Thursday

Still waffling on Rent-A-Cop. I mean come on, there was a perfectly good release. Do I really need to have a little extra music? I don't even listen to the copy of Rent-A-Cop I have now.

Friday

My daughter, in the car this morning, asked when we were going to be able to listen to some Jerry Goldsmith.

Yes!

And in other news, my son is finally potty trained! Hooray! No more diapers to buy!

Hmmm.

No more diapers to buy...

Saturday

Ordered Rent-A-Cop.

Ha! Very nicely done! I'd like to give it a shot...

Sunday - I wonder what the new Varese Club titles will be... hopefully an expanded Goldsmith score (fingers crossed for the complete Air Force One or Executive Decision).

Monday - Escape from the Planet of the Apes, eh? Interesting. Maybe this'll give me an excuse to get all the Apes scores, especially the first one which I don't own for some reason (yeah, I'm the one).

Tuesday - I think I'll wait until the low quantity alert. I just ordered some Battlestar Galactica scores (seasons 2 - 4, Caprica) and I'd like to give the credit card a rest.

Wednesday - FSM's Heavy Metal and Force 10 From Navarone arrive in the mail today, along with the new Capricorn One LP re-release. Whoa, that "Breakout" cue sure is something!

Thursday - I perform some routine upkeep in iTunes, replacing some album artwork and correcting some metadata.

Friday - I download Planet of the Apes from iTunes. It is identical to the Varese release and includes the Escape... suite.

Saturday - I wonder what the new LaLa Land title will be... hopefully an expanded Goldsmith score.

(What a symmetrical week!)

That goes for The Satan Bug and The Russia House, which don't show up on the 'see all titles' feature due to some ass at iTunes who can't frickin' spell, so you have to type in the movie title to discover that the soundtracks are actually available.

Well Neil, looks like another Goldsmith to add to the collection, this time a super two-fer from La La Land: Seconds & I.Q. Man it's a great time to be a Goldsmith fanatic isn't it?! Buy on my brother, buy on! Looks like you need to permanently transform that no longer needed diaper fund into a soundtrack fund. Who cares if you come up short at times, kids don't need shoes anyway...

Also check to see that the "Part of a Compilation" field is not checked!

Yes!!!! That's the WORST!!!!!!

Yeah, who needs shoes? Or food? Or a roof over their head...?

I hope that's a joke...

To know me is to know there is almost always a bit of humor in there somewhere...or everywhere! Of course if you don't know me it's not always so evident hence the smiley message icon (which unfortunately doesn't show up in the blog comments section, only in the corresponding discussion forum).
