The latest CD from Kritzerland pairs the first ever release of George Duning's score for the 1965 comedy DEAR BRIGITTE, starring James Stewart and Bill Mumy, with Henry Mancini's score for Stewart's 1962 comedy MR. HOBBS TAKES A VACATION (previously released by Intrada)

Georges Delerue's score for WOMEN IN LOVE, Ken Russell's Oscar-winning 1970 film version of D.H. Lawrence's novel, will be released for the first time on disc, courtesy of Quartet.

Music Box has announced two new CDs, featuring two scores previously released only on LP as well as one score released here for the first time: Roy Budd's score for the 1980 horror comedy MAMA DRACULA, starring Louise Fletcher and Maria Schneider; and Richard Rodney Bennett's score for the French dark comedy L'IMPRECATEUR (The Accuser), paired with the first-ever release of Gabriel Yared's score for INTERDIT AUX MOINS DE 13 ANS (aka Lucy on Seine), both films directed by Jean-Louis Bertuccelli.

Intrada plans to announce one new Special Collection CD at the beginning of next week.

DID THEY MENTION THE MUSIC?

RUBY SPARKS - Nick Urata

"The most distinctive craft element is the music, blending classical selections with Nick Urata’s arpeggio-heavy score to produce dramtic, often frenzied accompaniment for Calvin’s turmoil."

Justin Chang, Variety

THE WELL-DIGGER’S DAUGHTER - Alexandre Desplat

"There’s some striking imagery -- late-afternoon sunlight peeking through wheat stalks, a quiet stream running through the French countryside, bright interiors -- an an airy, evocative score courtesy of Alexandre Desplat, but the characters’ dealings with one another (whether romantic, businesslike or otherwise) are too routine to live up to the formal elements encasing them."

Michael Nordine, L.A. Weekly

George Delerue's score for WOMEN IN LOVE, Ken Russell's Oscar-winning 1970 film version of D.H. Lawrence's novel, will be released for the first time on disc, courtesy of Quartet.

I know that french composer Georges Delerue have worked in Hollywood but didn`t know that he americanized his name or is it his "stage" name perhaps?

Just kidding, I know that these typos is lurking everywhere.

Am fixing. As one who is half-French, I'd hate to De-Francify M. Delerue.
