Thought anyone interested would know how to look for a podcast on their own.
The first rule of promotion club: if you want your audience to do something, do the work for them. I guarantee you if you add http://www.artofthescore.com.au to your initial post on this thread, you will get the incredible fellas at Art of the Film Score so many more visitors. The fact is people are busy and easily distracted and if they don't have something to click right away, they just move on before they do their own work – a sad mixture of human nature and the ephemerality of all things web related. Maybe it's their loss, but really it's the loss of Andrew, Nick and Dan who do such incredible work with these casts.
That said, THANK YOU. I would not have found this podcast had you not posted the initial thread. (Obviously I'm not that busy or distracted (sad face), but also, I never noticed the post until you changed the subject line to "Harry Potter 3 - Part 1" a few weeks back. My antenna only catches so much.)
I love what these guys do. The abundance of insights, the accessible demonstrations on harmony and theory and structure, the copious audio clips, and the sometimes outré associations or juxtapositions (John Adams's "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" as antecedent to "The Knight Bus"... okay!) I even appreciate their forays into TV and video game soundtracks, which is a bit outside my purview.
My only quibble: how have they done 24 episodes with nothing dedicated to Jerry Goldsmith. Why do you hate Jerry Goldsmith Andrew, Nick and Dan!?

right!? my bet is they'll break the seal with 'star trek: the motion picture' given their reviews mainly focus on mainstream action blockbusters and next year is the 40th anniversary of the film's release.
my hope against hope however would be 'poltergeist' – arguably the most goldsmithian of all goldsmith scores: masterful melodic and motivic writing with even a lilting, playful lullaby theme and moment of suburban jauntiness; bartokian dissonance and stravinskian rhythms galore; brass bombast, wily woodwinds, off-the-hook percussion; evocative sonic invention (using acoustic instruments instead of synthesizers no less); sublimely beautiful religioso grandeur mixed with absolutely terrifying atonal and aleatoric horror flourishes; tempo shifts and mixed meter madness – a developmentally intricate, structurally cohesive work absolutely integral to the film's tone, emotion, narrative and dramatic action, with "twisted abduction" being one of the best pieces of music ever written to film, not to mention the breathtakingly epic "let's get her/rebirth" cue. i can only imagine what the 'art of the score' crew could add to the appreciation of this awesome score!
