I either didn't know or completely forgot, but there's a new MiB movie coming out.

The trailer:

Looks like another piss-poor sequel with bad casting to top it off.

Anyway, who is scoring this? I looked around and couldn't find any confirmation. Wiki sites says Danny Elfman.

It is not a sequel. When they decided to pull the plug on the MIB/21&22 Jump Street spinoff movie they decided that they just rebooted the franchise.

That's not what is shown in the trailer. We see original MiB universe coffee worms, original MiB universe designs for what I assume is the same HQ, original MiB universe entrance with the man sitting in the chair with the giant fan behind him. This places it in the original, so it's not a reboot, but just new characters and perhaps a new setting.

And, as a side note, it would also be a promoting fail because the generic original trailer music used briefly the string chugging from Elfman's main title to the original film.

Low-effort posts and opinions like that make me wish I was illiterate.

You should put me on ignore so you don't have to see anymore of these low-effort posts.

It's clearly a sequel. It even includes Emma Thompson as Agent O from the previous movie.

In other news, the word "reboot" seems to have lost its original meaning (same premise, but starting from scratch) and now seems to mean either an attempt to reinvigorate a slumping property or even just a sequel delayed by many years.

Second vote to bring back the pandas.

Every once in a while a user creates an avatar that's permanently associated with that user in some people's mind, and that pandas one was such an avatar.

This is the first time I've felt excited about a Men In Black movie since the first one. I 'was' kind of excited for the second one, but Johnny Knoxville killed it all.

I LOVE THIS CAST! Tessa Thompson is quickly becoming one of my favorites, Chris Hemsworth is still willing to make fun of himself which is a plus for him (Unlike his brother who kills everything he's in) and Liam Neeson? Yes!

I'm so glad they're sticking with a true follow-up spin off rather than a crossover with 21 Jump Street.

I have nothing but contempt for that accursed word.

Sounds good. Wouldn't quite be the same without him.
