SEASON 1:
A 1997 FOX series that only lasted thirteen episodes. Thanks to an FSM member (who I can't recall the name of, but I'm sure will chime in once he sees the thread) who mentioned this a few times over the years and brought it to my attention. I previously only skimmed the pilot and knew if the rest of the show's scoring was like this, it was worth owning if some label would put it out. "Pilot" By: David Arnold Additional Music by: Kevin Kiner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgANkkO_wUs This is the only episode Arnold did; the rest of the series is just Kiner. Highlights: 0:04 in. About 2:50 in. 5:25 in. 13:19 in. Part of the "Stargate" theme right at th end. 15:45 in. 22:00 in. 27:45 in. The must exciting computer hacking music I've ever heard. 30:22 in. Goes on for over seven minutes. And after the commercial break. 40:14 in. E.T.'s alive. The whole score should be released. "Fear of Flying" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVUO7S3-QvQ Highlights: 0:30 in. 2:01 in. More exciting computer hacking music. 8:49/9:12 in. 12:18 in. 17:14 in. 23:38 in. 28:15 in. 41:30 in. 43:40 in. That's almost all of the score. "The Devil's Rainbow" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaIag4e6Ewc Highlights: 1:40 in. 7:01 in. 16:50 in. 1843 in. 21:23 in. 25:45 in. Continues after the firing. 36:13 in. 41:27 in. Again, almost all of the score. For the guys here: 41:50 in: Side boobs. Yeah, I'm shallow like that sometimes; I love women. Get over it. I'm stuck on hating the military people and liking them; not because they are military and not because they are after the good guy, but because sometimes they talk like stereotypical film morons, but on the other hands they act like they know what the hell they are doing. "Some days a bear squats on you." More Friday.

I would buy it instantly. Great score! We've had this one earmarked at Fox for years...just never seems to clear!

!!! The Arnold pilot score on its own, or a multi disc set like Buck Rogers, or something like JAG, with the pilot score and one other highlight score? Put me down as interested. Yavar

Actually, there is a lot of great music arranged by Kevin Kiner, including some gorgeous variations of "The Visitor" theme that ought to be included in any CD release of the music. I championed this music on filmus-l way back when, and expressed surprise at a comment by Thor in 2001 asking if there hadn't been a promo CD of the music. Never found out if there ever was.

I see no known promos or otherwise for any episode score, or any promos containing cues. Though I have to believe there were FYC promos sent.

"was"? So it was pssed on ultimately, or were there rights issues? Did you mean just the pilot score, Roger, or are you talking about the scoring as a whole (I know, seems unlikely)?

The idea was to do everything. Oh, wow. That use of past tense does sound ominous...here's hoping it can finally clear some day. Yavar

Even though I have the time to finish the series today, I'm going to draw it out another day so the thread comes back up and hopefully draws some more interest from those who've never heard the music before. In fact, I could have tagged this onto a post of reviews, but even today I decided to split it up.

It's taken twenty years, but now there's some hope. Continuing SEASON 1:
"Dreams" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOzBxS3Sk98 Highlights: 6:50 in. 16:47 in. 20:42 in. 27:24 in. 29:03 in. 33:05 in. Congressman: "It's not every day I get to actually watch tax-payers dollars disappear into thin air." "Remember" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOzBxS3Sk98 Highlights: 0:40 in. 12:50 in. 15:00 in. 16:04 in. About 36:25 in. 42:15 in. "The Black Box" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rErmCf3NVU Highlights: 0:00 in. 3:20 in. 7:25 in. 13:09 in. About 17:40 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 20:36 in. And after the commercial break. 29:40 in. 39:30 in. "Teufelsnacht" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5bVsToFWjA Highlights: 2:40 in. 557 in.??? 7:52 in. 9:33 in. 13:53 in. Short but good. 18:44 in. Joining a cue already in progress for the good stuff. 20:36 in. 26:00 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 33:30 in. 35:28 in. About 44:20 in. Fans of "MillenniuM", watch the beginning of the video! There's a cool commercial I never saw, special made as a Halloween advertisement. Check it out. 10:25: "Acting! (sarcasm) "If it helps you get up in the morning ... sure." "Reunion" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucB9ZoUXpqI Highlights: 0:27/3:07 in. 9:07 in. 12:05/13:18 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 27:25 in. 29:13 in. About 39:00 in. 43:58 in. "I believe we make out own fate; coincidences usually just lack a vision." "Caged" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueDMYN2w884 Highlights: 3:33 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 7:12 in. 17:47 in. About 23:00 in. About 29:13 in. 36:00 in. 39:47 in. "Going Home" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hZVLSJPuAA Highlights: 6:55 in. 20:28 in. 25:30 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 32:58 in. 39:44 in. Honestly, it's looking to me like when I am done, I might classify this as some of the finest television scoring ever. I know, a high mark, but it's not like it's joining a short list of ten shows, and there's no room, so it's appropriate.
