Just came across this and some fellow autograph friends may be interested in this. No word on pricing. I've sent stuff to this Oc Celebrity Marketing organization before and had excellent results. They ARE legit. After this virus is over him and Helena Bonham Carter will be signing pictures. You can also send in items so for those that want some La-La Land BATMAN CD's signed that is possible. smile

Elfman has been so extremely private and reclusive over his career. I'm glad that he's finally starting to "come out of his shell", so to speak, with the social media presence and events such as these. Wish I could attend, but I'm on the other side of the world, and I couldn't travel even if I wanted to these days.

It’s a private signing as stated above. No one will be meeting him. When it’s up you can order a photo or send in an item for him to sign. Many celebs do these private signings.

Makes me chuckle to think of those times we got him at the UCLA event when John was still here right Peter?? Fun times.

That was a fun time for sure. I've got Elfman so many times, but I'm sure I'll send in something for signage this time. I can't help myself razz

Looks like another signing with Danny Elfman http://officialpix.com/estore/products.asp?cat=300.

So now Danny is doing 2 separate signings with two different autograph companies. Interesting.

Been seriously considering this. But before I commit, I figure I'd ask everyone here what they'd do.

1. Would you do 'send in' or get something signed from what the sites offer?
I'm planning on sending my Batman Elfman collection cover. Despite all the great work he's done, Batman is the first thing that pops into my head when someone mentions him.

2. How would you have it signed? Personalized or just his signature?
I tend to keep personalized signatures limited to in-person signings to sort of solidify the moment that we did meed face to face. And since the other La-La Land signatures I've collected feature only the composer's signature, this will make for a nice consistent look.

Think I'm wacko on those ideas? Despite my thoughts, it's not 100% set in stone yet. The personalization could be nice especially since I already have his signature on that special disc that company made for the Elfman/Burton music set done years ago, so this would make it his second signature I have in my collection. Maybe having one personalized would make it more endearing?

I believe personalization is more, but I would send something in, but that's just me. I've occasionally done this before and have never had an issue.

Official Pix now lists Elfman signatures as sold out. Anyone here go for one?

I sent in some CD covers, got an email confirmation they arrived. So far, so good.

No, I didn't go for it. I have an Elfman signature that I got from his brother Richard's girlfriend years ago (a small poster of MODERN VAMPIRES signed by both Richard and Danny). That's all I ever need. For me, the thing to go for is a sit-down interview. I interviewed him briefly a couple of years ago, on the red carpet in Vienna, but I want a more in-depth interview. I think I would ask him several questions he's never been asked before.

I'm going strictly by assumptions here, but I don't think many of us here on the forum are capable of having that kind of social interaction with someone as legendary as Danny Elfman. I don't know any people who are related or even friends with him. I'm just a simple consumer who enjoys listening to his work and is grateful every time he gets to talk about it. And given the rarity of how often he does signings, well. I can see why a lot of folks on this forum would see this as a wonderful opportunity to have his signature in his collection.

But I'm glad you got the opportunity to have met him in person Thor. That's awesome! I'm just going to take what I can get and be thankful for it.

I sent in two vinyls for this. I'm a sucker for autographs smile

BTW, Danny is usually pretty cool about autographs when he is out at an event. That's where I've managed to get a few signed in the last several several years.

Some issues I had with this service.

1. Selecting 'Send-in items' did not include CD covers/booklets. They had DVDs, Blu-rays, Steelbooks but nothing related to CDs? That's an odd omission given that Danny Elfman is a film composer.

2. Upon paying for the item, I received no instructions on what to do next. No follow-up email, no method of shipping my item, nothing.

3. After packaging my La-La Land cover the best I could, I contacted the website to figure out where I needed to ship it. This is the replay I got back.

Hi Ted,

Please send to the address on the website. www.OCcelebritymarketing.com

Thanks!

Ooph.

4. When I received my signed CD artwork back, it had two stickers behind it. One that was a tiny seal indicating that this signature was done from them and a pretty sizable white sticker with my name on it that could not be peeled off. Naturally that was meant for organizing purposes, but the sticker itself is pretty much on there for good which creates two problems.

A. It covers a good chunk of the reverse artwork.
B. If the cover were to warp in any way, that sticker is going to warp the whole cover around it.

And yes. There ARE better alternatives available. I've used 'Post-it 658 Labeling & Cover-Up Tape' for years and it hasn't destroyed anything I've applied it to.

5. No picture of Danny Eflman during the signing! Not asking for a picture of him signing my artwork, but it would have gone a long way to show that he was really there.

Still a nice signature. Still need to find a way to get that darn name sticker off.

I had the same white sticker, but was able to get it off no problem.

When they mentioned a Blu-ray or 8x10 they are trying to tell you the size. So any item that around that size is that price point. Though CD covers were not listed they do fall under that ably-ray/8x10 size.

Danny did sign these I can confirm officially there is NO issue there.

Address to send to was at the bottom of the website. Glad you got it back!
