It's all personal opinions, honestly. I wouldn't even have Titanic on that list. I have a hard time with it. I think it's the synth choir and the overall feeling of self importance. The action stuff is good though.
My top ten would have:
1. Star Trek II
2. Krull
3. The Rocketeer
4. Cocoon
5. Balto
6. Apollo 13
7. Brainstorm
8. Legends of the Fall
9. Clear and Present Danger
10. The Perfect Storm
Honorable mention: Gorky Park.

Not to mention the Enya pilfering. There several solid scores in your list, in particular Brainstorm, Krull, Star Trek II, making allowance for the various "influences".
Edit: Gorky Park would absolutely make the list. I find it to be the better of the 48Hrs type scores.

Either that, or our classical repertoires started growing faster than Horner could compose.

Reads more like a list of popular or acclaimed movies which contain James Horner scores.
Personally, I consider some of the titles on that list to be far from Horner's best work.
I have always regarded Aliens one of his weakest scores, from the Khachaturian in the main titles to the repurposed "werewolf" / "Klingon" motif in the action scenes. Cocoon I always felt to be a prosaic effort -- technically spot-on, but uninspired and nothing more than serviceable (and the recycled bit from "Genesis Countdown" didn't help).
Krull and Brainstorm are on the other hand two of Horner's finest efforts -- I submit Krull is his very best score -- but no one went to see those movies, therefor they can't possible have good scores.
