Very excited about The Soldier and the 2 Dominion concert discs.

Bummer that The Keep looks like the same tracklist as the old TDI cd (minus Sign in the Dark, Weird Village and Love and Destiny). Curious they say they are all previously unreleased.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they will truly be unreleased pieces / mixes that just share the track titles (ie. film versions of Gloria and Canzone)

So they are wrong about that, then? Weird.

But great set nevertheless that will no doubt sell out.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

I'm just glad this isn't only coming out on vinyl limited to 12 copies packaged in an extinct goat's bladder.

Question (not a nitpick!) - it looks like this version of THIEF is missing the track "Confrontation" that appeared on the Perseverance release. Any more to that story?

OK I need to buy this. For me, a huge TD fan from that era (1984- 16 years old and bought my first synth, a Juno 106, and collecting every album the Dream had released up until then). I think that period was my favourite of Tangerine Dream's with Froese, Franke and Schmoelling....

Not a cheap purchase but worth it. I have 3 versions of Thief so I might as well add another...LOL.

Yeah, that's a shame. I imagine it's because Craig Safan composed it

Yeah there's some discussion about this in the comments on the listing but nothing definitive either way. I hope it gets clarified before it comes time to hand over my bank information, ifyouknowwhatimean.

Fascinating. I'm unfamiliar with the TDI album. Do you know where in the film those three cues take place? I love the score but I'd hate to buy this only to find the cues I want most are dropped.

None of those 3 tracks are in the film.

Even more, none of the tracks on the rest of the TDI album are heard in the film! Except for the excellent "The Night in Romania" (music when Dr. Cuza is healed). And Canzone (where Cuza removes the talisman lighting up the crosses - but that track is heavily remixed / rerecorded). And a short sampled vocal bit used where Robert Prosky's priest character kneels at his alter.

I think most of the tracks were indeed written for the film, but tossed out by Mann. You can sample most of the TDI tracks on youtube. As a huge fan of the film score, I was very disappointed by this album.

I am so friggin excited about The Soldier though!

I'm most after their interpolation of "Walking in the Air" from THE SNOWMAN but that doesn't appear to be on here either.

Totally - especially the extended version which is like twice as long as what we got in the theatrical cut

Terrific insight! Thank you for this.

Two of those cues are the ones I wanted most. Now I gotta find out if I can get this shipped to the states somehow. Amazon UK and FR have this locked out ("This item cannot be shipped to your country") and the third party site wants over $80 of shipping alone.

The 1st giant Virgin TD box (In search of Hades) eventually made it's way to Amazon US for ~ $140 free ship. Not guaranteed vol. 2 will, just pointing out -

And that is my hope! I googled the ASIN number and haven't found anything yet. We live in hope though; The Keep is one of the very few "Grail" scores I have left.

THE KEEP is probably the greatest train wrek of a movie of all times, considering the cast and crew behind it.

The score is just ludicrous and wrong, which makes the movie even funnier.

But as pure music is interesting.

One can hope that a director's cut of the movie will be released some day.
