'La Morte Risale a Ieri Sera' is one of my favourite Italian crime scores. Very jazzy, but quite varied - with less repetition than some Italian releases. I love the brass, the flutes, the occasional harp and especially the great vibe playing. Anyone who likes big band should enjoy this one. I've got "La Polizia Sta A Guardare" and it's ok but always sounds a little 'samey' to me. I like many of Cipriani's scores but some of his police/crime scores seem to meld into one; as if he phoned them in.

I wish 200 film composers could phone in scores as good as Polizia Sta A Guardare!!!

Whilst I may have some Ferrio fans on here can anyone please tell me if the likelihood of Don't Turn the Other Cheek (1971) getting released and what the score is re Morricone's involvement and credits for thr score. Thanks Don't know but it's probably a case of using a name that sells. EM in westerns sells.

As for funky Ferrio, what about the blood stained butterfly. Playing it now, it's even got a bit of funked up Tchaikovsky.

Or I Caldi Amori Di Una Minnorene, as it's getting a spin. Appropriately dressed, I'm wearing a lilac cravat, red flares with some yellow patches and platform shoes.

That's a good one Mark. Firstly I'll say that I think royal mail are tighter than a gnat's chuff and stoopider than a room full of idiots. However there are ways to complain. Depending on your replies I would keep on at them with ' this is not on ' sort of things. They'll probably try and fob you off will a book of stamps. Explain to them what happened ( address correct, person exists etc). The problem you might have is that may have been the Greeks incompetence. So RM wouldn't be likely to pay there. But if it is possible to find out it was there fault keep at them. I wouldn't hold your breath though.

Back on topic. Thanks to this thread I have been spending some time on Gianni Ferrigoround . Another groove fest is La Morte Accarezza A Mezzonotte, baby

And the last of the night, before the whisky comes out is La Polizziotta. Still groove filled but a bit lighter/happier than the previous.
