I bought a CD on ebay about a year ago "The Fantastic Film Music of Albert Glasser, Vol 1". It was issued on Starlog Records SRS-1001 in the 70s as an LP. It never got a CD release but some time ago Varese were looking into the idea of doing it and pressed either 1 copy or a very small number of CDs complete with the same artwork as on the LP to evaluate the prospect. A release never happened and my copy came from the private collection of the Late Robert Townson or one of Varese's Engineers ?. I had the LP back in the 70s and always liked the suite from The Boy and the Pirates, the only piece on the LP "In STEREO", so bidding for the CD (sealed) was an easy decision to make. There was never a Vol 2.

Probably The Bernard Herrmann Concert Suites box set that Varese put out sometime around 1989. It was a "Masters Film Music Special Release." Four CDs of the original London Phase 4 concert re-recordings that Herrmann did in the mid-70s. It was my first box set (quaint, now, since subsequent box sets have been so huge and lavish) and among the first CDs I ever owned. I love it still, and it still sounds great.

Don't own any promo's. I certainly have a couple 1000 limited editions. Maybe one 500 limited edition.
Only rare in my collection are whats OOP.
That's my situation. I may have some an odd album that was less than 500.
I don't have contest prizes or anything like that.
+Slipstream, and both volumes of Lionheart.
The score album of Fried Green Tomatoes is prob not that rare, but OOP and pricey.

I have both the lp and cd of the original soundtrack of John Barry's "Body Heat" before they were pulled. I have the EP of Knopfler's "Comfort and Joy". I think my Hong Kong CD of "Ashes of Time" is rare, as is the Hong Kong CD of "The East is Red." I have the SAE release of Fielding's "The Outlaw Josey Wales". Promo of Debney's "The Jetsons: The Movie." The Varese box set of the Herrmann "Suites." Probably forgetting something!
