SEASON 1:
A one-season lived series from 1971 that starred Glenn Ford. The catchy memorable theme is by Henry Mancini. If I don't mention an episode, that means it had no credited composer. Please Note: I took the word of IMDb on a small number of composer credits. Even though about 99% of them were done myself using the end credits of episodes, some may be wrong and there is no composer credited (as is the case with one later in this thread). I'm not going to double check everything. Attention readers: I am implementing a new system that is nothing more than a note to myself; for cues that I want to include in a suite, for now on I will denote them with ^ symbol. It has no special meaning to anyone else but myself. No, the lack of an up arrow symbol doesn't mean the cue is bad (it just may have too much SFX or FX for suite use or just isn't worth my time to edit and include). Hence forth this system will be in all future threads and pre-exiting threads that I go back to for missed episodes. Anything in ( ) are just notes to the arrow and you need not bother with that. "Homecoming" By: Duane Tatro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZe1-6C2s5Q Highlights: 2:16 in.^ 19:47 in.^ 38:41 in. Joining a cue already in progress.^(parts) (Note to Me: 4:17) "Company Town" By: ????? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRO5t-fnw40 Highlights: 0:00 in. Made of cool.^ 3:10 in. Piece using the series' main theme.^ 6:53 in. Piece using the series' main theme.^ 33:26 in.^ The end credits are not on this load. I think this is a Tom Scott effort. Special note to the acting of Will Geer. "Safe Deposit" By: Tom Scott https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XsBGzCNXm4 Highlights: 0:00 in. Thee is a three or four second lull and the cue continues.^ 5:09 in. 13:31 in. 19:29 in. Opens with pure cool.^(opening) 23:00 in. 37:50 in.^ 40:21 in.^ 41:27 in.^ For the guys here: 9:02 and 9:49 in. You're welcome. 39:30 in: That's a damn fine bit of writing there. That's how real life uses to work, in ol' small town America. "Crisscross" By: Duane Tatro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-BIF93aFRY Highlights: 0:00 in. The country-flavored source music. 7:31 in. 18:33 in.^ 22:42 in.^ 25:24 in.^ 32:52 in.^(35:59) 39:44 in.^

Normally I don't exactly have ... many nice things to say about his acting, but in this I think he actually gave a good acting performance. I assumed "The Armageddon Contract" was probably originally going to be the pilot, but shuffled around. While it has happened before on series, usually the composer who provides the theme, does the pilot and is never heard from again.

I finally found a way around those damn boxes over the end credits; I just go to a website that will download the episode, it'll upload the episode to a temp page and I can play it from there without the boxes and not even have to download it. Came in handy to grab Mancini's screen credit for when I make a suite of the episode one day.

Continuing SEASON 1:
"Slay Ride: Part 1" (composer credit cut off on the load; since Tatro did Part 2, I assume he did Part 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgJOzMJxlzc Highlights: 3:49 in.^ 17:10 in.^ 49:43 in. This is actually the start of Part 2, but the user has some of it edited onto Part 1.^ 43:48 in.^ 58:20 in.^ (NtM: 9:20) "Slay Ride: Part 2" By: Duane Tatro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8inHMUOpiBQ These two episodes are presumably the only ones he scored. There is still one more episode below where the composer credit is covered up. Highlights: 7:10 in. About 25:10 in. The funky source music. And the score cue that immediately follows it.^(both) 28:12 in.^ 33:24 in.^ (NtM: 17:57) "Ragged Edge" By: Tom Scott https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nwMJvjvvd4 Highlights: 1:34 in. 5:24 in. 19:49 in.^ 22:04 in.^ 27:41 in. 31:25 in.^(33:00) 35:56 in. and.^(second) 41:19 in.^ 42:51 in.^ * 49:48 in. * = Holy moly, did he actually smack that guy with the car?

Interesting. I wonder if there were any other partials. Oh well -- some label will have to tackle this some day. About fifty years after I'm dead.

Where are you finding orchestra manager reports? Is that something online I can search, or just something you happen to have access to or know a guy who does?

Finishing SEASON 1:
"Jessie" NO COMPOSER CREDITED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc9I40HKXEs I covered the episode because at the time there were boxes over the credits and I hadnt' figured a way around it and thought there might be a composer name under it. So, rather than throw away what I wasted my time on, here are the track-job highlights (perhaps there is some original uncredited scoring in here). Highlights: 1:08 in.^ 11:10 in. 15:52 in.^ 18:38 in. 33:58 in.^ 41:56 in.^ 43:39 in.^ 47:05 in.^ Out-of-context quote... "No, this time you touched Jesse..." "Blackout" NO COMPOSER CREDITED https://ok.ru/video/1807474035297 Final two minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5cgKp29pQ0 Highlights: 1:30 in. 8:26 in.^ 17:55 in.^ 20:33 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^(second) 30:50 in.^(parts) 37:50 in. Joining a cue already in progress.^ 40:00 in. Almost eight minutes long.^ IMDb had Tom Scott down as the composer, so I covered it, but upon double checking the credits, I found no composer was credited. I decided to keep it here anyway just incase it's an uncredited effort and somebody knew that when submitting it to IMDb. "The Fake" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJvQ2AYoZ6Q I only note this episode that has no composer credited, because of that kick-ass funky cue that opens it. If that's not tracked from a prior episode, then I got to know where it's from. (Note to Me: 0:05, 10:27, 13:15, 41:26; for those curious, those are all the cues I liked and I plan to go back through credited composer episodes and see find what episodes they are from, if possible) "The Witness" By: Duane Tatro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbX5ApGf5nI No, it's not you or your headphones or the ack -- the sound is only coming out of one channel; I'll ix that for suite purposes. And the volume is lower on this load Highlights: 0:04 in.^ 6:59 in. 11:55 in.^ 16:58 in.^ 19:41 in.^(20:30) 24:27 in.^ 29:43 in. Short piece of what passes for Indian music.^ 37:39 in. 42:45 in.^ 47:33 in.^ Final credited score of the series. "The Alien Land" TRACK JOB https://ok.ru/video/4551705365133

It's very helpful, the info' you provided, Broughtfan. Now that I know some of "The Armageddon Contract" was tracked into "Company Town", I may be able to Frankenstein parts of cues from "Company Town" that have no SFX/FX or less SFX/FX than the ones in "The Armageddon Contract", to make cleaner final versions. :-) EDIT: Monday when I post the ASCAP and BMI extra composers, you'll note Lionel Newman amongst them.
