yeah, the books are really nice. Import and currency conversion makes them luxury items for me that most of us cannot afford... Yes, any import tax, Royal Mail 'handling fee', and currency conversion may be too high when sober but I will probably argue the books I ordered as early early Christmas gifts!

Would really love a copy of this. Is this a limited edition? Also does it ship to australia? Australia is not one of the countries listed in the link. Probably a licensing limit of some kind.

Jerry Goldsmith said in interviews, That Steven Spielberg was there from note to note. Mike Matessino said on a podcast, that Jerry used No Electronics when scoring and conducting Poltergeist. That also The same Orchestra was used for E.T.’s performance and that was recorded at MGM Scoring Stage and had strict no visitors policy. Security was very tight for Both Scores. Also, Jerry Goldsmith had composed a 15 Minute cue for Night Visitors Sequence, The Ghost coming out of the walls and going down the stairs, and Later on Michael Kahn (90 Years Young)Spielberg’s Editor cut down the sequence, and Jerry had to do a new cue for the shorter sequence. I would love to hear that cue and see what Jerry had done with it. After Poltergeist was finished filming..Tobe Hooper was dismissed, and was not allowed to be apart of editing or scoring of Poltergeist …Steven Spielberg spotted with Jerry Goldsmith. Zelda Rubinstein (Tangina The Ghost Talker) said in interviews, that Steven Spielberg directed her sequences, and was on the set everyday, controlling the whole show..and that after the end of the shoot..Spielberg dismissed Hooper. No longer needed Hoopers services. Poltergeist is one of Jerry Goldsmiths best scores. Haunting and Beautiful ..Page Cook wrote for Films in Reviews, of his best film scores of 1982, I believe that Cook placed Poltergeist in 3rd and John Williams E.T. In 4Th place..If my memory is correct.

You can hear the longer version of Goldsmith's music for the ghosts coming down the stairs on all the album releases of Poltergeist; that was edited down into the version heard in the movie. According to Mike Matessino…the Original Cue was 15 minutes long, and recorded, Spielberg and Kahn cut that down to what we see in the film to about four minutes. That's very exaggerated timing. "The Jewelry" is indeed longer as scored, with more ghosts on the stairs and the beast seen on the video playback. A couple of clips of the deleted footage are in the trailer. The 15-minute reference was likely to "Let's Get Her / Rebirth," which is 15 minutes continuous music, the second cue of which - about 7 minutes - was nailed in one take (including chorus).
