My Six Greatest Film Scores of All Time:
• Titanic (OST plus 4-disc LLL set)
• Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (2-disc LLL set is sufficient)
• Time After Time (Royal Philharmonic plus the FSM OST)
• The Omega Man (version 2.0 is sufficient; 1st ed. adds the children singing)
• Superman (Blue Box or 3-disc LLL set is sufficient)
• Star Trek: The Motion Picture (2- or 3-disc LLL set is sufficient)
I'm thrilled they've all been served so well on CD. Literally the only morsel that isn't out there, that I could want, is the complete disco cue from Time After Time (heard partially in the film). It isn't much to complain about. I feel pretty lucky. I mean, I could go on and on, listing the next tier and so forth, but I've been lucky there too.

I don't know about 'greatest' film scores of all time, but I know the ones that mean most to me.
The classic era Barry Bonds, plus his other best scores like The Lion In Winter.
The Morricone westerns, plus his other best scores like The Mission.
The Herrmann Hitchcocks, plus his other best scores like The Ghost and Mrs Muir.
John Williams' Star Wars and Empire.
The Miklós Rózsa epics like Ben-Hur and King of Kings.
The best of Jerry Goldsmith, like The Omen and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Of course it's all subjective, but "greatest" implies at least some sort or set of criteria which these score uphold, whereas "favorites" are simply those one likes the most.
