New Year, new thread!

Let's see those new covers. We're got some great artists here.

Me? Not one of them. Here's what I did for the Shawscope releases.

And for volume 2

Yep. That's the extent of my skill. I don't even know how to isolate the SB shield in order to make the space around it orange. I had to do the whole darn thing.

GIMP and Photoshop both have the 'Magic Wand' tool, which uses fancy algorithms to detect the shape of an object (the shield, in your case) and select it. From there you can invert the selection and do your work. Since the outline of the shield is fairly well defined, you should have no problems.

Shawscope

Slapped these version together last year:

Ver. 1

Ver. 2 is a knock-off attempt. One problem though, I couldn't find a suitable action figure pose from a any Shaw film so I settled on one of Bruce Lee, unfortunately Lee never starred in a Shaw production.

Awesome! Nice to see an alt cover for this one. There's so little content to work from. Nice creativity here.

A charcoal broiled Chuck Yeager. Though I never understood how just his face got burnt. Especially when he had a helmet on.
I'm sure they made it up for the film.

Great work as always!

That reminds me, I still want to make some covers using Thai movie posters which are riddled with text all over.

Ha, I don’t recall that. But I don’t think the visor was shattered when he ejected.
