Hmmm to be honest I don't remember, sorry. I had written all the cues down on paper. I trying to remember that scene for the life of me.
I think I forgot one more cue that was longer in the film, Briefing/Commodore Taggert (3:45)
Indeed.......a remastered expanded or even complete edition of this fantastic score would be absoluteley welcome The old Sonic Images albums really was not too long but excellent. I wonder what happened to Sonic Images Records as they didn't publiish anything new since years and who holds the rights to this score.........This is a project either for Intrada or La La Land Records.
The score really is a bomb.......excellent.......the music is superior to the movie who failed to tell an excellent story in the Wing Commander universe......hopefully also Robert O. Raglands rejected score will see day of light (if he really was involved in this project and recorded the score)
Ragland was never attached. That rumor only started based on him sending a promo album in the hopes of getting the job. The production, however, was interested in hiring on some of the crew from the Stargate movie, particularly David Arnold and creature creator Patrick Tatopoulos. However, it was modestly budgeted and couldn't fully afford them. Arnold wrote the themes, Kiner wrote the score and the Kilrathi costumes ended up with a fate similar to Star Trek V.

Thanks - I didn't know that...I often thought there was a "familiarity" to some of the themes, but put it down to it just being a cohesive score...I need to listen to this again (which will be a pleasure).
Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I believe Mr. Thaxton said it was Mr. Kiner who approved the CD length release? As mentioned above there's about over 30 minutes of unreleased music + film version tracks.
This score is a guilty pleasure of mine. So maybe if MV is reading this thread (and would consider) perhaps a complete score might be possible in the near future. However I'm not sure if Sonic Images still has the rights to the album?

Thanks for the detailed informations about this. So now I know that Robert O. Ragland never recorded a score for Wing Commander. David Arnold and Kevin Kiner did excellent work for this project. Hope that one day a label like Intrada or La-La Land Records will release an expanded or complete version of this magnificent score as there misses many music thats not on the Sonic Images Album.
Gave this score a spin and its solid. Surprised an expanded release hasn't materialized. Seems like something current enough, yet obscure enough to be manageable and affordable.
