Overjoyed the fantastic music from "Eve" and the "Colony/End Game" two parter are on here, have wanted those for ages. GAH! Waited over two years for this, and it looks like it is going to be well worth it I'm guessing that great, dissonant string music from the abduction scene in "The Red and the Black" has also made it. Yay!
I'm assuming putting Season 9's "4D" ahead of Season 8's "Essence" and "Deadalive" (latter should come before the former there, too) is for listening reasons

It begs the important question does volume 1 need to be integrated as well for a chronological listening experience?
Really amazing... the next 7 days will be torture... 'til the orders can be placed and snippets heard. And then the time between the order and the arrival of the box will be even more torturous
Almost all my favourites episodes are included and so many mythology-episodes! Thats amazing! This beats Volume 1 by far I'm sure...
looks like the # of units went up as well. though i remembered at some point that volume 2 might be a little lower as it did take some time for volume1 to sell out. though it did. pressure is on again now to sell out another 3,000 copies.

I'd rather have this title stay around for a bit than be treated like an unwanted alien pregnancy!
Great list of music but I'm disappointed to not see Bad Blood on the list. Maybe for a Vol 3
"Ghost in the machine" for me, but I'm glad to see "Tooms" among many other great episodes on this set. Great looking set it is.
Edit: looking over my initial list of request I'm excited to also see listed "Born again", "Die Hand Die Verletz", "Colony"! That first disc is already my favorite of the set.
well don't want to be accused of starting a request list too early again but most seasons appear now be represented anywhere from 20-40% in terms of episodes covered. and every episode doesn't need to be covered by any means, but i think a volume 3 could be pretty easily assembled still. small potatoes! after that it might be a tough go. so let's focus our energy on seeing another 3,000 unit sellout so it's worth la la land's while!
I cant BELIEVE NEITHER OF THESE CUES WERE INCLUDED!!!!!
teaser for "Three-of-A-Kind" the show starts with Johhn Byers of TLG recalling a dream..."President Kennedy was still alive...and my country is at peace"" and depicts idyllic scenes with his family..."and then I wake up" very moving scene.
ONE BREATH ....... the teaser "That Day in the Forest" with that beautfiul 10 note hymnal?@!!

I'm just grateful we're getting a more X-Files music period. Yes, there's some music that's still unreleased that I'd really love to have, but there's no way that MV et al. would be able to please every fan of the show. It looks to me that they've gone the route of assembling suites from key episodes rather than cherrypicking only the absolute best cues. That to me makes for a more satisfying, organic listening experience.
To think that we've gone from having just the old Truth and the Light album to having over 10x the amount of music released (free of dialogue too!) is still amazing to me.
Oh and I agree that seasons 8 and 9 are awful, storytelling-wise, but Mark Snow sure brought his A-game as far as the music is concerned. I can't wait for the set.
Randall Larson wrote some great new liner notes for our release, which include the participation of producers Glen Morgan, James Wong and Frank Spotnitz, along with an introduction by series creator Chris Carter.
As a fan of the show, I couldn't be happier with this release.

Chris Season 8 is very underrated, imo. A lot of the standalones aren't all that great, but its the one season of the show, ironically enough, where the Mytharc is really focused and on fire, with amazing eps like Within, Without and This Is Not Happening. It really feels like Carter and co. are giving it their all for one last go... and then Season 9 comes along and spoils it. That's the one season that truly does feel just completely exhausted and the Mytharc eps are truly abysmal.
