I'm hoping against hope that something from Maury Laws comes out someday. Mainly one of the Tolkien scores, though there are hidden gems among the holiday titles that would be great for release as well. Frankly, it's some of the best as-of-now unreleased TV music out there. And where's the love for his feature film scores ("The Last Dinosaur", "Marco", "Daydreamer", etc.)? The man passed away just last year and there still hasn't been a peep about any of those. Shame. You have my vote, sir. Nobody wants to listen to good music anymore. Don't know why. Maybe it's because there's nothing equivalent to American's Top 40 anymore. There should be linear notes written about Maury Laws. Would love to see the Daydreamer, The Hobbit, Daydreamer, and odds and ends come out. ==jthree

Diary of Anne Frank - Alfred Newman Perri - Paul J. Smith The High and the Mighty - Dimitri Tiomkin Sinbad the Sailor - Roy Webb White Savage - Frank Skinner There was a “Story of” lp of PERRI, released at the time, which has soundtrack excerpts. I still have a copy of the Spanish-language version, no less, which I found in, of all places, Mexico City, back in the late 70’s. Lovely score.

I have a question: what is so great about Batman and Robin? I saw the movie in a theatre back in 1997, free of charge, as my brother had won tickets from a local radio station. Apart from feeling embarrassed that someone I knew might see me there, I was struck by how moronic, low T, unfunny and half-baked the whole disaster was. On top of that, there was the weird sexualization of both Batman and the Twink. The score sounded, more or less, like a tired rethread of Batman Forever. Did I miss something. And somewhat off topic, until 1997 I thought that it was impossible to make a boring Arnold flick. Joel proved me wrong.
