Water Tower Records has put the entire OST album up on youtube in a single video
This score made me remember the days when film music was a true art form. The time when even B movies got A list composers who delivered some of the finest music ever composed.
But, man, those days are gone! Now we have these generic garbage that sounds like it was composed by a computer program (Google's Create Your Own Movie Music).
I won't say that this sad reality is enterely Zimmer's fault, but his "Movie Score Sausage Factory" that now infested almost all movies and the stupid people who keeps hiring him are to blame, that's for sure.
And this score is far from his worst. There are some parts which are kind of fun - and he used Morricone's "Kerim" motif from "Secrect of the Sahara" again!
But I am sure this is what teenagers and people with bad taste from Sweeden want to hear on movies today, so we are helpless.
Yeah, just listen to the track "Black Gold" between time mark 1:12 and 1:35 Is this a compression artefact? How did the recording engineer not notice this??

AWFUL. It just ruins the entire track.
Oh the noes, someone on FSM had an entire track ruined by 20 seconds of synth processing he didn't like! The world is ending!

Isn't this the stardand for all Zimmer's Sausage Factory scores?
Great to read so many good words about this score! Did I miss a mention of whether there will be a CD release?
CD-R only.
I don't really understand the thinking behind the decisions at WaterTower of what would come out on CD, what on CD-R and what as download only. They released Tenet by Göransson as a normal pressed CD but not Wonder Woman 1984 by Zimmer? I know Göransson is coming up fast in popularity thanks to his Oscar for Black Panther and his music for The Mandalorian but I think Zimmer is still the bigger name with a much wider fanbase. Also, Wonder Woman 1984 is, I guess, a more popular title than Tenet. So it definitely would have deserved a normal CD release in my opinion.
But looking at the state of the record industry now I'm grateful even for a CD-R release...
The other thing with CD-R CDs: they seem to be available only for a limited time, at least most of them. As for WW1984, amazon says it ships in 5-6 weeks(!) and it's hardly available on any other sites. (Definitely not in Europe...)
Not to mention shorter lifespan. I have already couple of CD-R/DVD-R recordings that don’t play anymore. But you have to pay the full price as it is an ordinary CD. Recently bought two Morricone CDs that appeared to be CD-R, but there was no indication in the shop.

I haven't had any problems with my CD-Rs so far, thank God! My oldest one is from 1996 and still plays fine. But yes, I'd be happier with a factory pressed CD...
Good grief, so I was looking to order this CD-R and decided to browse for any other Zimmer titles I might need... then I saw that the Intrada edition of "White Fang" is listed at $299!!! Holy moly, I'm glad I already have my copy!
