I emailed VS the other day and asked if that stupid shirt was holding up my order because others on this board who ordered AFTER me have already received theirs (and it’s been over a month). I got the same shitty, canned response from “Misty” about the team working diligently, blah, blah, blah…. No clarification about the T-shirt. It’s my own damn fault. I own too many T-shirts as is, and this is probably God’s way of telling me I shouldn’t have ordered another one.

It’s not the T shirt, mine was “dispatched” last week with a shirt. According to the tracking it’s not got past the label printing up to now. They’re just very sloooowww….

Then it appears they’re just shipping orders at random with no regard for when they were placed. It’s disheartening.

Was anyone able to track their package via the tracking number supplied by Varese in the shipping notification? Mine say's it was shipped via DHL ecommerce and is trackable. But the number provided is not recognised by DHL, DHL ecommerce or any other postal tracking service for that matter.
What good is a tracking number if you can't track it!
Where the hell is my CD!
Who the hell are you people!

The handling of this one and the two Silvestri's is not exactly Varese's finest hour...

I meant to order the CD, but ordered the digital version by mistake. I guess I'll burn my own CD, although the only software I have to do that is Windows Media Player.

Yes. I'm in Maryland and received the shipping notice with USPS tracking. It was accurate in predicting a Tuesday delivery. You being in another country won't have as much luck evidently.

I know, for a lot of people, their copies haven't arrived yet, so it's bound to be a topic for discussion, but on the whole, I've never known a Music Forum be so pre-occupied with tracking numbers and postal delays and what-not.

Pretty much, there's THE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!, then the "ORDERED"!!!...then the endless 'Where's My Spy Camera'...

...Then...

TUMBLEWEED wink

It does look weird to me too, from the outside, such as when it's not happening to me. It's a useful record, though.
Because of posts like these, we can get a bead on who's reliable, and who drops and drops and drops the ball, over and over, for months, or even years, and just shouldn't be trusted with anyone's money. We can see who's moving in that direction as well, and we can see who conversely excels in this too often screwed up area (hello Intrada, La-La Land and Quartet!).

I ordered late, got a shipping notice, and on Saturday, a "package delivered" notice.

Mind you, it's not really here.

On one hand, it's hard to fathom how Varese could possibly affect my local deliverer, yet on the other, as unlikely as it is, the last time this happened with a delivery to anyone in my home was with their Lionheart, so I'm going to closely inspect that package labeling, if this ever gets actually delivered (or found), because who sent it now outweighs that very reasonable unlikelihood.

Third parties do not cover a multitude of sins.

I know many will call me a “big baby” but this delay has put such a sour taste in my mouth that when the CD does FINALLY arrive, I will probably just throw it in a pile and not bother with it for a long time. Same with that stupid shirt. Why would I wear something that reminds me of how VS shit on all of their customers.

I get it! Back in the day we never had tracking, your item was shipped, and you got it (or didn't get it) when you got it. So I guess tracking is a nice luxury we have especially for overseas items. But my last CD I ordered from the Varese US store went literally all around the world for 2 months before returning back to Varese to which they did refund my money no problems. I then ordered the CD from the International store and received it within 2 weeks, so who knows? I could be wrong but I don't think the issue is Varese per se, but they are definitely doing something different to other labels as far as shipping goes. Internationally anyway.

Hey Good news for overseas fans!. You can NOW track this on DHL website. At least it wasn’t appearing on any of their apps. They have now switched to a different tracking number and you can use that. So it seems mine just shipped from an origin in Germany and in transit to me now.

Received my copy and T-shirt (such a good, funny idea for a longtime collector like me) here in the UK. It had obviously been posted within the UK, so Varese's new delivery process appears to be using an importer, which means there is no risk of additional customs-related fees. If so, this is excellent service.

That's very good to hear. Kudos to them for doing that well. It's such a nightmare for you guys so often.

I wish I would have just ordered from Intrada. The extra $5 would have been worth it.
