I just watched "Release" again, which, to me, is the true representation of how good Mark's music for the show is. Such a powerful episode and the music is a major contributing factor to it.

Cannot wait to get up at 6am to order this!!!!

Hey, if you 'like' Mark Snow on facebook, he has a picture of the box set in his photos!!! It's beautiful.

Also, it's in LLL's photo album as well.

Actually, a question comes up: Release is at 1pm PST. Is that PST or PDT? Currently the time in California is PDT, which has a one hour difference with PST. So is it UTC-7 or UTC-8?

Last time I bought from LLL was in the winter, so there was no PDT issue.

Oh good lordy that picture of the set is gorgeous smile

No complaints or "I wish" on the track list. I know the series well but aside from "Scully's theme" - the slow interpretation of the X Files theme with the wordless female vocal - there's nothing I am on pins and needles for, the set will make me happy razz

Congrats to MV and crew for what looks to be a fabulous job well done!

Probably Intrada and SAE, as usual. But they won't have it in stock until LLL ships it to them.

I don't want to cause confusion to UK fans but

UK is on summer time (BST), clocks went forward one hour in March. UK is currently 8 hours ahead of LA . BST/PDT

1pm PST =2pm PDT clocks have been moved forward one hour.

Therefore X files set goes on sale at 10pm BST (British Summer Time)

I think!!

Hopefully there will still be some left by the time I get home.

Very excited about this release!!

That artwork is gorgeous - the discs are very similar to the design of the DVDs, and the simplicity of the box itself is right up my alley. Great job, LLL!

Thanks for the heads-up for UK fans Peter!

I'm so excited for this, and the hopefully-only-a-year-away volume 2. There's so much music across the series which I'm itching to listen to, I find myself not even thinking about what's missing that I would like, there's just too much good stuff to process.

To go a bit off-topic, I hope LaLa's continuing relationship with Fox leads to another of my TV hoyl grails being rleased one day - futurama! the cues are shorter than in X-files, but I imagine there's enough good material to easily fill a 2 disc set, especially with the movies and continuation of the series. That's if Fox even owns futurama any more, though I believe they do in some form.

To get back on topic briefly: I love the simple look of this set as well, I'm not that precious about having CDs of stuff (having come into liking film music only during the advent of the download), but this is one I'll be proud to own.

I do have a sneaking suspicion that this may be a quick sell-out - it's gotten publicity for over a year, and there are bunch of X-Files fans who now know about this and are champing at the bit to get it. Plus the speculators and other vendors like SAE, Intrada, etc. purchasing copies for their stores. I am hoping to get an auto'd copy today in 5 hours!

Which is 9pm UK time. When LaLaland said 1pm PST did they really mean 1pm PDT?

My advice to UK fans is be there at 9pm BST just in case!

I'm not totally sure of the time in other places, but I know this: For me, it will be available to order in 4 hours and 25 minutes from this post! Just remember that: Whatever time it is in 4 hours 25 minutes, that is when the titles will go live on the LLL site.
