Is that a theremin at 0:30 of (and throughout) the first cue to Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter called "What Boy, Ma'am? / Main Title"?

The part(s) of the New Beginning Main Titles at around 1:02 and 1:17 is so cool! Always loved that part.

Excellent covers Ross1972!!

Hey, if you're still in the creative mood, why don't you whip up an awesome cover for the part VII and VIII Molin CD so we can replace that horrid original album art.

Also, I just love how Manfredini changed ki-ki-ki ma-ma-ma (kill her, mommy) to ki-ki-ki ta-ta-ta (kill her, tommy) in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning to correspond with the "change" in villain. A simple changeup but it's just perfect. I'm very surprised this wasn't mentioned in the liner notes! I always thought it was very cool.

So I love the box set. It's a Masterpiece, but there are times when I can't listen to all 6 scores in a row. I didn't download the "Ultimate Compilation" from iTunes because I planned to get the box set from the beginning. But looking at the tracklist from the Ultimate Compilation, I thought it might be fun to try to create a playlist from the box set, sort of a "Greatest Hits".

Can any Jason expert out there help me match these up with their box set titles?

1 Welcome to Crystal Lake 2:44
2 Mrs. Voorhees Loses Her Head 1:26
3 Safe, In A Boat 2:26
4 We Meet At Chez Jason 6:00
5 Opening Titles - F13, Pt. III 3:38
6 Final Scenes 3:30
7 Slashing, Shaving & Slicing 7:08
8 The Rampage Continues 5:25
9 Dies Irae 1:00
10 A Watery Grave 3:54
11 Sail Away Tiny Sparrow 3:16

Total Time 40:27

Just arrived from Dark Delicacies - all signed and everything!

Listened to disc 1. The sound is STUNNING. Far better than I imagined, especially considering that these things were apparently lost to time! Absolutely superb quality recordings. A dream come true quite honestly.

The booklet is very nice with great pictures and excellent notes. Hard to believe David Fein had a hand in it. I suppose even HE has to have a good day once in a while. Then again, I'm not so sure about the various different line spaces used for the track lists... unnecessary. Overall not as bad as Bad Girls, or Forever Young, or The Poseidon Adventure, or Broken Arrow, or...

Only flaw is that, once again with LLL, the quad cases are much too small for the inlay cards (also see Breakdown, The Golden Child) so all 4 cards were severely crumpled. I've taken a guillotine to them and cut them more to size. They should be okay if I can get the crumples out but this should be entirely unnecessary.

What they did with the "Compilation" is pretty interesting. Instead of just taking 11 pieces directly from the soundtracks, they are mostly all different edits & in some cases combinations of the actual tracks, so it makes for a nice companion piece. The only tracks that are identical are:
"Safe, In A Boat...", which is titled "The Boat on the Water - Closing Theme 1/Jason in the Lake" on the actual soundtracks.
&
"Mrs. Voorhees Loses Her Head" is "The Last Fight/The Chop To The End"
(not sure why the names are different)

"Opening Titles - F13, Pt. III" is just the main song- the soundtrack track includes the music leading into it.

"Sail Away Tiny Sparrow" is just the song without the hidden track attached to the end,

The rest are mostly newly rearranged edits and combinations of different tracks. They did a really nice job with it.

And I am a happy mutant's friend who got a huuuge laugh at The Mutant's post.

Listened to part 1 today and the sound is absolutely stellar, not to mention Harry's awesome autograph.

Anyone working on some iTunes covers? I'd really like some original poster key art.

Here's covers I made using the original art:

Ross, is it possible to do a similar cover for parts 7&8 (the BSX Fred Mollin release)? Great work!
