Still nothing here. Emailed them last week and got the standard "not really an answer" everyone else had been getting.

Perhaps I'll get it in time for the 50th anniversary.

Have you checked the tracking info for the package?

Mine appears lost after arriving in London over 10 days ago but at least I know it is lost as I can see it in the usesless Hermes tracking page. Did get some communication from Varese but sadly they won’t do anything for 75 days even though as the shipper they are the only ones that can instigate a trace of the item. Have now given up with them and assume it is lost. Won’t bother ordering via Varese again.

Mr Golddigger ...you say 10 days in Hermes[evri] network. This is normal timescale and could go as high as 25 days ........Hermes[evri] are a Company who do not normally work fast and like to take things nice easy and slow.
I suspect your delivery will arrive soon .

There is no tracking information for my order. Just the order number, and that it was paid on September 17th.

I received my copy yesterday in Massachusetts - I ordered it on October 7th.

The back cover credits "Score Transferred and Edited by Neil S. Bulk" and "Production Assistance Lukas Kendall", neither of whom are mentioned on Varese's website anywhere!

It doesn't say who the actual producer of this edition is, only that Cary and Chas are the Executive producers.

I’m giving VS til the end of day (CT) to ship this stupid thing.
I’ll cancel and order from Intrada instead.

I just placed my order via Intrada. Their site does state that the cases are damaged and the CD will be shipped with replacement CD cases.

Now THAT is customer service. Not holding an order for almost 2 months waiting for a stupid t-shirt to come back in stock just to save a few bucks in shipping.

I love your enthusiasm for Hermes but Brits know they are the worst delivery company in the world. It did make me laugh in that they showed me a random picture of a guy who was going to deliver it. Life is too short. I literally could not care any more about it. Probably buy again from Intrada or eBay at some point. Until varese get a Uk supplier again. smile

I'm in the UK and I ordered mine through Intrada and it arrived today. No customs charge. They always help you out that way, unlike Varese who always sting you with customs because of what they write on the package.

Im still waiting for my order to ship also. Ordered the first day along with several other titles, trying to support their label. Some of the titles meanwhile went on deep clearance during their sale too while I patiently waited like an idiot. Serpent and the Rainbow for one which is now forever sold out. They better have set my "full price" copy aside while waiting forever for this Rudy to come in. ??

I'm sadly with you there, and I share national borders with them.

Right now my well-trusted companies for direct shipping are Intrada, La-La Land and Quartet.

Hermes worst delivery company? DPD: Hold my beer.

(They recently delivered to the right house number - just to a different STREET somewhere else)

At least they delivered it, somewhere. smile

Got to wait 75 days before Varese will regard this as lost.

Yeah, the guys for whom shipping is what they do seem to get it right, too, Peter, ScreenArchives... I didn't mean to rule them out; I was just listing the ones who ship their own stuff.

Did my first spin of this score this morning. While the soundtrack is a variation of a theme, what a theme! Its a gorgeous score.

Varese finally shipped my order out late last week and while still in transit, their parent company puts Rudy Deluxe on sale! Ugh - I'm never ordering a new release from Varese again. I could have saved so much money between the current Craft Recordings sale and Shocktober sale. But no... I stupidly placed my order on release day, also including a bunch of full priced titles that went on sale just a few weeks later!
