I got to see first-hand as Wendy Neuss (sourpuss supreme post-producer supervisor) made snotty, pointless comments about the cues, trying to tone down passages that were already very subtle to begin with. I'd like to spew venom at her, but I don't have a current address. A little help here? Um, I trust we are joking and not actually looking to harass someone. Thanks! Lukas

TNG Season 4, Episode 22 Half a Life I'm surprised this wonderful intimate emotional score hasn't been included in the previous sets since McCarthy got a (deserved) Emmy nomination for this one.

Amen to Half a Life! One of my very favorites in all Trek, and until this moment never thought of hearing the music separately - big hope for this one.

Hi all! First time posting here! I've gone through TNG and tried to pick out some standout moments (musically, and in story terms) that I don't think have been released on the many existing releases (all of which I proudly own :-) ) Any of these cues would make me very happy (have the info available as an Excel file as well, happy to send as needed): Episode # Episode Title Composer Times Description 19 Coming of Age Dennis McCarthy 3:56-5:34 Fly-in / What is wrong on this ship 9:30-10:36 Riker frustrated / Hyperspace physics test 16:24-21:03 "It is still my enemy" / Unauthorized shuttlebay entry / Picard saves Jake Kurland 34:58-36:58 Wesley's psych test 39:50-41:45 Next year / Thank you for saving my life 42:36-44:38 The only person you're competing with is yourself / Safe travels / Continue with our mission 32 The Schizoid Man Dennis McCarthy 26:13-27:46 Intense burning jealousy 30:43-31:12 Images 33:51-Close Stop pretending / The next thousand years 40:33-41:56 Who's next? 35 The Measure of a Man Dennis McCarthy 14:56-16:11 Data plays Tasha hologram / Maddox enters Data's quarters 36 The Dauphin Dennis McCarthy 40:45-42:03 Wesley and Salia say goodbye 37 Contagion Dennis McCarthy 34:14-39:42 A way home / Data zapped / I hope that's not a stutter 43 Samaritan Snare Dennis McCarthy 42:04-43:40 Not a commonplace man 49 The Ensigns of Command Dennis McCarthy 41:53-43:03 I have no feelings of any kind / Bye 53 The Bonding Dennis McCarthy 5:23-6:34 Part of life in Starfleet / Worf by candlelight 8:10-9:27 Your mother has died / On the starship Enterprise no one is alone 40:14-44:39 Angry at Picard / Join me in the R'uustai 61 Deja Q Dennis McCarthy 28:08-31:10 Moving the moon / Unconscious 65 Sins of the Father Dennis McCarthy 35:14-36:48 Picard fights Klingons 37:05-38:24 New evidence 41:45-44:46 Worf is disgraced 70 The Most Toys Dennis McCarthy 12:38-15:02 Remembering Data / What am I missing? 36:07-40:15 Will you take me with you? / Fajo kills Varria / 82 Future Imperfect Dennis McCarthy 28:52-33:04 Riker's family record / Riker discovers the "truth" 40:11-41:26 No more games 42:42-44:39 I just want somebody real / Fly-out 67 Captain's Holiday Dennis McCarthy 30:38-31:32 Picard and Vash kiss 39:07-41:56 A man of many talents / Vorgons depart 42:51-43:55 "You really do care about me" 90 Galaxy's Child Dennis McCarthy 40:07-42:49 Brahms and Geordi have a plan / Weaning the baby 92 Identity Crisis Dennis McCarthy 5:13-7:52 Shuttle not responding / Death by ionosphere 38:34-42:44 Away team saves Geordi 44:21-44:37 "Thanks" Outro 103 Ensign Ro Dennis McCarthy 39-45-42:35 Orders to withdraw / Naïve 44:14-44:40 One condition / Two to beam up 111 Hero Worship Jay Chattaway 25:41-27:33 Androids don't require sleep / All within established parameters / Painting together 34:14-37:25 Gravitational wave fronts 38:52-42:26 Just like on the Vico / "Drop the shields" 116 Ethics Dennis McCarthy 0:00-0:15 Fly-in 1:18-2:55 Cargo container accident / Paralysis 7:30-8:50 Hegh'bat Ceremony 17:19-18:15 "I will not live like that" 29:34-31:02 Breaking with tradition 33:23-41:48 Surgery / Death and resurrection 119 The First Duty Jay Chattaway 39:23-42:48 Formal reprimand / Crusher comes forward 44:14-44:37 You knew what you had to do 138 Ship in a Bottle Dennis McCarthy 38:43-42:35 Transporting out of the holodeck / A wondrous sight 43:39-44:15 All this might be an elaborate simulation / New star 158 Phantasms Dennis McCarthy 0:00-1:36 "This oughtta be a lot of fun!" 7:46-8:48 Ship not moving 11:09-13:59 Dream sequence / Cellular peptide cake with mint frosting 31:55-32:38 They're spreading 35:05-42:13 Dream sequence / Infestation abolished 167 Lower Decks Jay Chattaway 39:00-42:05 No sign of escape pod / Sito Jaxter lost in the line of duty

It just occurred to me- I don't suppose there is any sort of suite for 'Picard's Theme?'* I know we have a track from the Encounter at Farpoint disc- but there have been so many little variations of it, from Elementary Dear Data's final track to the beginning of the battle in Peak Performance, all the way up to a subtle, rare later-season placement in All Good Things. I assume it would be cost-prohibitive beyond the realm of this CD set to create or record (or possibly even edit) a new arrangement, but an extended suite for this theme would sure be a nice treat (and make up for its lack of use in the TNG movies... :-( ). That reminds me- any of the score from Peak Performance, namely Worf agreeing to serve, the Hataway powering up, and the the battle itself, that isn't in the new CD set would also be great... *Similarly, there is an 'Enterprise' theme used a number of times, most prominently at the very start of 'The Child,' but reprised elsewhere (often paired with the Picard theme), that would be great to hear in some sort of suite or extended edit.

Similarly, I don't have the 4-disc DS9 set, so I'm not sure if 'The Assignment' track covers this- but the repair montage which is interrupted by Dax, as is the ending of The Quickening (The birth/revelation of the child/sweeping shot for Bashir's departure). So sorry I don't have any timecode for these.
