Anyone else notice in the last 8 seconds or so of “Dust” - is that Jerry humming along with the orchestra? Kinda like when he got carried away on one of those Rudy cues?

I swear you can hear a hum or two in Leviathan and Not Without My Daughter as well. And I'm sure that's Jerry whistling along on the orchestra-only end title of Poltergeist II

Guess they couldn't use Maria Conchita Alonso's likeness for that poster because her face is covered.

I stand corrected.

@ Mr. Mutant: is that track on the Kritzerland or the intrada release or both?

Our latest Soundtrack Spotlight is (an examination of Intrada's new presentation of Jerry Goldsmith's gritty, propulsive score for) Extreme (Prejudice)! Your humble hosts Jens and David are joined by Douglass Fake of Intrada Records and liner notes writer John Takis. Among the topics of discussion: the surprising complexity of Goldsmith's thematic work, the messy history of the score's creation, memories of working with Jerry on the original album release, what sets this new release apart from previous editions, the importance of this score in the history of Intrada Records, and more! Naturally, you'll be treated to plenty of samples from the album along the way. We may be excessively biased, but we think you’ll enjoy it.

Buncha clips! We talk over them, as is our way, but ...they're there!

I just gave the theatrical trailer the Otisberg treatment.
One hell of a cue. Can't understand why they dropped it....

ps - how the hell do I embed this? I tried the special code legend but it didn't work...

Anyone else notice in the last 8 seconds or so of “Dust” - is that Jerry humming along with the orchestra? Kinda like when he got carried away on one of those Rudy cues?

I've been wanting an answer to that question for decades. I was kinda hoping that the new liner notes would mention it. Do they? Or perhaps the podcast?

Thank you, Mutant. That's an excellent job -- and the trailer works MUCH better with Goldsmith's cue than it does with whatever the company used instead!

Yes it's on the kritzerland release. No idea why it was left off the Intrada expansion.

My apologies. I was thinking of another cue, "CASH" to be be more precise. (at 3:25).

This "anomaly" was mentioned in a review of the score in Soundtrack Magazine (IIRC) back in the day, and if I'm not mistaken, the review also mentioned the neat throwback to Capricorn One in the score.

Does anyone have access to copies of Soundtrack, and if so could they please confirm if possible.

Edit: the podcast makes no reference to humming, from Goldsmith or otherwise.
