MV, do you have anything special planned for the 30th anniversary of BATMAN?

I would very much welcome A re-issue of the 2cd-set with disc one having the ‘better element’ and that stupid cross fade removed from JOKER FLIES to Gotham and Batwing I

What's up with Universal Film Music Heritage;especially TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA ? I like premiere releases. Can't afford endless recycling of scores that were issued before under the guise of improved sound or a few more minutes of music never issued before.

Maybe you don't like them or cant afford them but folks who purchased Superman just paid for 8 future projects.

TWO MULES this Summer

MV

Well MV, if all the people who bought your newly issued SUPERMAN CD allows you to do things like a Miklos Rozsa at Universal box-set or a full orchestral score from Universal's epic TV series CENTENNIAL composed by John Addison, then I wish you good fortune.

I think the one Golden Age composer who would sell the best today would be Miklos Rozsa.

ROZSA AT UNIVERSAL would be one fanstatic box!

I think Herrmann sells just as well as Rozsa (I still can’t get over how fast the Herrmann at Fox set sold out even though it’s been eight years), though I fear whatever unreleased Herrmanns from the Universal vaults have been taken by Stylotone.

Yes Herrmann also is a Golden Age composer who has cross-over to younger collectors too. Herrmann crossed-over in the 70's, Rozsa maybe the last decade or so. Yea, if Stylotone has the rights to the Herrmann Universal it will take years if we ever see the scores at all.

Would LOVE to see the Jurassic Park Collection reissued.

Seconded!

Love the first score but don't care for the second one so put off buying this (rather expensive) set for just one score. But I just had to have the JP expanded on CD so took the plunge when numbers were getting low.

Not to derail or anything but I humbly beg to differ--TLW was a revelation. I thought I knew the score from the original album but there is so much more to the score that the complete version brought out. JP was just icing on the cake.

EDIT: I still probably wouldn't pay ebay prices for the set tho as good as it may be.

I have several questions but will start with one. I apologize if it has been asked already somewhere in the past. I looked and couldn't find it.

I missed out on the "Batman Forever" release (It sold out even before I knew about La La Land) It is a white whale of mine. Any chance on a re-release? Also would love to see "Batman and Robin" get a nice treatment. I know the movie itself is considered to be one of the worst, but the score is great!

Of course, I will also keep an eye on the Danny Elfman set and grab it when it comes back in stock.

Thanks,
Will

Batman Forever is out of print. No chance of coming back out

The Danny elfman collection will be back sometime in March

Thank you for the response.

Darn, I knew that a re-release of Batman Forever was a longshot. Thought I would ask anyway. At least I have the standard version...

The ETA on the Elfman set is much appreciated. Won't let that one get away!

My wishlist..I think is truly simplistic.

The River..It would be great to hear the originals and the score in the film.
The Reivers...The Second Horse Race.
Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom...we all know why
Under Fire...The Film Score..much better than the Concert Album
TESB...We Need a Superman Treatment
Conrack
The Sugarland Express...Never Ever Happening. I can have Dreams.
Peggy Sue Got...Beautiful Score By John Barry
A View to a Kill...Yes I know..Ask Mrs. John Barry
Moonraker...Yes, I know ...Ask Mrs. John Barry
Raise the Titanic...The Original is so damn Superior!

Peggy Sue Got...Beautiful Score By John Barry

Owned by Varese Sarabande in perpetuity because of their original album release...and in fact they did do an expanded Deluxe Edition (perhaps you just missed it):

Double the original price but half what Amazon Marketplace sellers are charging. And trust me, it's not ever gonna get reissued on CD (sadly, since I know a lot of people would prefer different mastering choices).

So many JW Gems in the recent past thanks to La La Land and soundtrack genius Michael M.. Is a re-do of Hook a possibility?

With the relationship with Universal, would you be interested in Woody Woodpecker mainly from 50s with score by Clarence Wheeler?
I asked Lukas Kendall about this one years ago and he said, he tried but Universal wasn't interested back then.

Nope -- click on it and it says "not in stock"...Discogs still seems like the best bet, though one might keep an eye on Ebay.

Still no plans for a reissue of Coma? What about Innerspace and the Swarm?

Unless I've totally misread past hints, I think we're (I'm) getting Innerspace eventually.
