David Raksin told a LOL* friend of mine that if she knitted her yarn a certain way, she would make a net-like tube. This, he said, would be something she could wear around her neck, just like his mother did. My friend tried it right then, with pink yarn. Although it matched her pink outfit, she decided she didn't like it. When Raksin looked a little miffed, she reminded him about the time when he was talking to Akira Kurosawa. *Little Old Lady. Last Thursday night, I dreamed that someone was knocking on my door. When I answered it, it was Lalo Schifrin.

Last week I dreamed that me and several from this board visited Laurence Rosenthal's home, uninvited. He was very welcoming. It was an underground home and we entered by climbing down a sculpture much like the interior walls of Deckard's apartment in Blade Runner.

This week, Laurence Rosenthal led me to his basement. It was a VERY steep and VERY dark stairway. I had to hang onto the railing to make sure I didn't stumble. Interesting. The sculpture was steep on the sculpture leading into his home, too. Veeeerry interesting.

I met Philip Glass at a concert. He told me he sent my sister a wedding present. I replied " Did you send her an arpeggio or a tremolo? " Even in my dreams I'm a wise ass! Brm

Someone down the street was blasting Laurence Rosenthal music (why do I keep dreaming about Laurence Rosenthal?) out the front of their house as I was passing by. Then I crossed the street, walked behind a skinny, white office tower on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, and touched what turned out to be one of its buttresses. The building then fell down, in three parts, onto the street. Was it me who caused it?

I dreamed I was watching a film of the opening number of a musical version of KINGS ROW, based on Korngold's themes. Nancy Kulp was singing with Betty Field. Kulp could open her mount as wide as a mandrill.

On the night after I met some film music fans in London, I had the following 3 dreams in one night: 1) I saw Thor was using a dulcimer as a colander for washing vegetables*. 2) 2nd Thor dream I cannot recall. 3) After getting out of the hospital, John Williams came to a small high school gymnasium to conduct a rehearsal of a student orchestra. *I consider any "Thor dream" to be a film music dream.

I dreamed last night that screenwriter Arthur Laurents wrote in his memoirs that he had possession of the session tapes for the score of THE WAY WE WERE.

A couple of weeks ago I dreamed that John Williams was the musical director of a musical, stage version of THE ROSE TATTOO, using Alex North's themes. He was accused of sexually harassing the leading lady, Maureen Stapleton. and in the same night, it was a double feature because I was in a hall waiting for a concert that JW was conducting, in a few hours. He was there, too, waiting to sign autographs, but no one showed up. I didn't have anything with me for him to sign.
