Morricone insists.his expanded scores be.no more than 60 minutes ( I think) and.not contain 25 second.cues in general. The result on stuff like GBU has been pretty satisfying!

For Thor!! ---------------------------------------- Here's the K-MAG2015 Melancholic remix (that Marshall Mix is soooo 2014)... GRAVITY (Steven Price). 1. Above Earth 5. Don't Let Go 6. Airlock 7. ISS 11. Aurora Borealis 12. Aningaaq 13. Soyuz 15. Shenzou 16. Gravity Runs about 37 minutes and I find it works for me. bonus cue (optional) = Gravity by Michael Sembello from COCOON OST wink+ Hey, shouldn't this be in your 'whittlers' thread? That thread must never die! I made a slight change to my already perfect program for GRAVITY: 5 12 14 15 16 7 6 I left off ISS on my previous one. Nice track!

Here's one that's around 45 minutes-ish (with lots of replacements because the cues on the deluxe edition are strangely quieter than they were on the 1997 album): 1. The Parachutes (Album Version) 2. The Hijacking (Album) 3. Empty Rooms (Album) 4. Target Air Force One 5. Free Flight (Album) 6. Get Off My Plane! 7. Radek's Release 8. The Dogfight 9. Air Force One In Trouble 10. Escape From Air Force One (Album) 11. Welcome Aboard, Sir (Album) Solid version, no filler.

I don't want Goldsmith to bring feelings into my action listening! When I got the original album, I always skipped The Motorcade (didn't need more of the theme so soon after the MT) and No Security (I'll go listen to Matinee if I want this tender stuff)! For this score in particular (and NOT websites I frequent), I wanted the score to be all muscle. Your opinion is totally valid, though! If I was making this to please people other than me, I'd totally put on something like "No Security" at the very least. I wouldn't want 70+ minutes like yours, but you had the right idea in cutting a bunch of the short cues. Oh, also - I didn't like much of McNeely's contributions other than those couple action pieces.

I can understand creating a pared down, "muscle only" version of this score - that can help if it's used during a workout! I think when I create these custom album versions, I too often have one ear focused on what would work for a new or unaccustomed listener, with the ebb and flow of an album for public consumption.

I try my damndest to limit the whittles to 45 minutes and I’m just focusing on the 45 minutes I wish would have been on the album. I did a similar thing with Chain Reaction, but I did keep the opening and closing themes for those.

But I doubt it) Not talking about the Hucknall track - you left off the opening and closing cues from the movie, both of which are the highlights of the score. The melody was based on the song Kamen and Snow wrote years and years ago, but it wasn’t a song anyone knew. Anyway, it’s the THEME from the movie and it’s gorgeous, especially when the full orchestra takes it up at the end.

Don't like it. Sappy. I'll relisten when I give a damn. Fyi Kaman really knows how to put together a ALBUM. If only the labels did also...

Thor s whittle of GOONIES seems to have disappeared. Maybe he can repost it. Anyway. I like it alot until it gets to the last part of the score and film. Up into #18 this replicates Thor: THE GOONIES program by Bruce R. Marshall 1 2 3 6 10 13 14 18 I dropped 20 minutes of action cues Thor included here. I find all that swashbuckling music to be tiresome; like the original scores they are based on 23 24 17 29 Th: 29:12
