Not seeing anything on the campaign page about it yet, did we ever get an answer about the images of THE BURBS, The SWARM, IQ/Seconds, CABOBLANCO and ARCHER CDs - were they supposed to be in a reward tier? Those CDs simply represented La-La Land releases, potentially available with the 25% off coupon offered in one of the rewards. Sorry for the confusion! But… IQ/Seconds has long been out of print! I think it sold out later the same year it was released, in fact… I figured maybe some extra copies had been found or something. Yes Quartet put out a new and improved Seconds but this is still the only way to get IQ… The most exciting thing about the Stretch Goal update is that the flipped image from Vol. 2 has been reversed! That will make a lot of people happy to see… Yavar

Sorry, if this already was answered, but what's about shipping? How much is it (for USA)? I really want this books, but looks like that I can get only digital version, if everything will be fine for me, as I can't order them directly (you know - war & sanctions), and intermediaries also can't help, as they still have high risks (books will be ready in Autumn, but no one knows, if books can be shipped at that time - we got restrictions for any electronics last week, completely "surprise")...

US shipping for the hard-cover pledge was at $14.

Yes that’s right, our supporters have unlocked stretch goal #1 less than 48 hours after it was set. That‘ll teach us to NEVER underestimate the support of Goldsmith enthusiasts ?? Thanks to you, every backer will receive a set of our exclusive desktop and phone wallpapers featuring Miles Teves’ portraits of the maestro, at the conclusion of our campaign. (And we will be back with another stretch goal shortly.) Meanwhile, please spread the word anyway you can to fellow Goldsmith fans. Books will only be available at current prices through midnight, June 15.

The corrected Vol. 2 image is just for the desktop wallpaper, or was the book cover changed as well?

Perhaps I missed it, but I don’t see where you can order just one of the volumes and digitally. They did say earlier that the books will be sold separately….. If you select either print edition, there's an option on check out to "add on" a second copy of the book, a digital version—or both!

That's a really good idea if it can be worked out! I think for such a tome as this, an index might also be a nice feature, even though it's largely chronological so maybe it makes less sense... but for names of collaborators and such it could be cool. One more hardcover backer and this will incredibly pass the $100,000 mark, with over two thirds of its campaign time still left to go! Absolutely INCREDIBLE. Who’s gonna push it over that threshold? Thanks for the suggestions about the book, we are certainly listening to you all and weighing what’s possible. As amazing as the numbers look, we’re more concerned with backers than bucks. On that note, here’s what a guy named Bond had to say… A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR.... It is both thrilling and humbling to see our project reach this incredible milestone—over $100K and 820+ backers in two weeks! Realizing this goal is a dream come true—and simply being commissioned to write this book was almost more than I could ask for. Publisher Taylor White has had my back on some of the most wish-fulfilling, nerdy and satisfying projects I've ever worked on, even though—in addition to all those other adjectives—those same projects were risky. Taylor has put his money where his mouth is, time and again, when there's always the chance that we'll fall on our face and discover there's just no market out there. Facing that risk as an independent publisher along with all the challenges of a faltering economy and unpredictable supply chain over the past few years, explains why these books have been so long in coming. You have demonstrated there is a market. Seeing this groundswell of enthusiasm for our work, and for the story of Jerry Goldsmith's artistry, is incredibly gratifying. We want to deliver a product worthy of this incredible enthusiasm and we'll be working to make it so, right up until all of you have it in your hands. Thank you very much. —Jeff Bond

Living in the UK, I really want to order the books but the customs issues are holding me back. I don't necessarily mind paying the import tax/ VAT, if I could prepay that as part of the postage, that'd be fine but it's the Royal Mail handling fees etc that I take exception to. Could the books be sent by courier, like DPD, rather than usual postal agencies? They'd more likely arrive in one piece, too, rather than battered. DPD (a trading name for Geopost, based in France) is probably not a realistic option for goods shipping from the USA. FEDEX or UPS are US-based, so may offer more options for international shipments. Books are VAT exempt but will attract duty and a handling fee - that's unavoidable unfortunately (and outside of the control of the publisher), whether the books are sent via USPS/Royal Mail or via a Fast Parcel Operator (the aforementioned FEDEX, UPS, or DHL etc.).
