I wonder if that is part of the whole Sony fiasco.

Well, with a sequel on the way for TOP GUN, it could be a million things that scuppered a deal to expand the original score.

Have you ever considered an Expanded edition of Pearl Harbor (Zimmer)?

Or The Pacific (Zimmer, Neely and Zanelli)?

Mephisto Waltz was the one theatrical feature Quinn Martin did, if I'm not mistaken.

It was.
Two simple questions to MV - he can pick one to answer and just ignore the other one:
Jaqueline Bisset or Barbara Parkins? smile

Jeff Bond mentioned on The Score 2 Settle podcast he's doing the liner notes on a boxset of TV music due out later this year. Is it with LLL?

MV has mentioned that Star Trek Voyager Volume 2 will be out in the summer, I couldn't imagine anyone else writing those notes. All of the fine notes Jeff's done for the Star Trek series are like having additional entries to his Music of Star Trek book. big grin So it could be that.

If he put it that way though he may have been referring to the Quinn Martin title.

a 2-CD album isn't a boxset...

Neither is a 4-disc set. smile

"TV music" sounds like something else to me. But it could be Trek.

Pearl Harbor is a Touchstone (meaning Disney) release if I remember correctly so that would be Intrada territory. Would love to see an expanded version though, the original release missed so great cues!

MV,

How have you and your family been since you lost everything to the fire?

Hi MV, thank you so much for answering my questions and others’ questions. I know that I/we bombard you with queries and that considering people’s questions can probably be very time-consuming.

I wonder if you might be able to indicate, please, whether Animaniacs or Freakazoid are on your radar, but I’ll understand if you’re unwilling to comment. Hope you and the LLL gang have a great week!

MV,

I know you like to release TV scores. What would be the chances of finally getting a Young Indiana Jones set? Even one that comes in volumes, perhaps? There is so much great music from that show that has yet to be released. Does LLL even have the rights to do so?

Thanks,
Cameron

Roger at Intrada has already expressed a strong desire to do more Young Indiana Jones (assuming Varese doesn't hold some sort of perpetuity rights). Since Lucasfilm is owned by Disney now, Intrada would be the label to have access, not LLL.
