Either this film has a TON of unique poster options, or there will be some image duplication between the two albums… Yavar

How should that be possible if all three discs will have score/scores from one and the same film by two composers? This was the original clue: "2 albums, 1 film, 2 composers, 3 discs." Someone suggested above Roger might be sneaky and one of the albums is not a film score. So here's a wild guess that would allow Frenzy.... -Frenzy, both Addison and Mancini on one CD. -The Thorn Birds by Mancini on 2 CDs. Granted no idea if Varese has a hold on the later but it'd be REALLY nice to get a proper release of that. (Also I'm not even thinking this is actually it, of course) If it is Thorn Birds I hope they include the dulcimer tracks which are missing on the Varese discs.

Yeah, that (along with similar for Les Miserables) seems like a good guess to me! Yavar

If by saying "One film." Roger was also knowingly omitting the detail that a TV/video game/concert work score was also making up part of that day's release, that's very sneakily misleading on his part. I still think it's most likely separate albums by two different composers written for the same film, but you're right that there is technically a loophole, however unlikely I think it may be. (That said I would LOVE a reissue of Michael Kamen's guitar concerto!) Yavar

Mark Rydell’s The Reiver’s by John T. Williams Also the rejected Lalo Schifrin score Lyn That would be ironic...with so many pukka great schifrin scores still unreleased, we get a rejected one. Lol.

And what would be on Disc 3 again? A recording of the concerned parties laughing and rubbing their hands, while on the way to the bank!

That would be ironic...with so many pukka great schifrin scores still unreleased, we get a rejected one. Lol. But quite a few rejected scores ARE great music! (Many of those mentioned in this thread, from Yared to Delerue to Bernstein certainly are.) I don't know anyone who's heard a note of Schifrin's, but given it was done for The Reivers, I think chances are good it would be right up my alley... Yavar
