As the producer of a dozen La-La Land titles that are already mastered, nine of which have art completed, I can confirm that releases are coming and that MV's decision makes good sense at this point.

Just out of curiosity, is that including Bride of Frankenstein?

Yes, I was referring to everything that has not been announced yet, including something before Bride as well as titles that might not appear well into next year, not just Black Friday.

Hopefully there's a bunch of John Williams titles in there!

I do have to wonder if that is also the same reasoning behind why Intrada no longer drops hints and clues, but rather just says "such and such a title is coming on this date".

That's great news Mike! I'm VERY excited about the BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Been waiting 55 years, never thought it would happen! smile

I hope some other Universal scores have survived from the 30's, 40's and 50's by Waxman, Salter, Skinner, Rozsa etc.

That's what I was alluding to re: change in operations. With various delays so common now maybe it just makes sense not to say too much these days.

Yes, the changes that have happened on the approval and manufacturing fronts are such that it is making very little sense to keep, let alone publicly post, a hard schedule.

Is it safe to be hopeful for more Bond scores beyond the ones scored by David Arnold? I love Arnold's work on those scores and those releases, just wondering what things are looking like on that front.

Dear MV,

Is an Album of The Orville Season 2 still coming?

Nope not from us if it comes out.

MV

That is sad to hear. S1 album was outstanding. Was hoping for the even better S2 music but I am guessing the Disney/Fox acquisition ruined that.

Yes but not talking about them in advance any more. No hype. Nothing. Folks around here and other boards ruined the fun so the titles will just come out. Hope you guys like them.

MV

I think that's a really bad decision. It's not just about the "hype", but for people to have a good timeframe to know when specific releases will be released and when; that way we can prepare to order something that might be in high demand and might sell out quickly. Also some of us don't have the money up front and announcing the titles gives us time to move things around or save the money.

I honestly hope you were just BSing.

Is Child's Play 2 - composed by Graeme Revell - the score in the series that everyone has been clamoring for?

I'm gutted to hear that. I figured season 2 would be a no-brainer after your amazing season 1 release. At least we have the first season to enjoy, and a two disc set to boot! I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of rousing sci-fi adventure scores.

Keep up the good work LLL. Hope all your impending releases run smoothly for you :-)

LLL never announce the Black Friday titles before the Black Friday date, I assume you mean announcing the the quantities and the prices of the CD’s, if so, I agree with you. Until this year LLL would provide such information and it is helpful. Shipping is usually a few days after the announcements, so we have enough time to arrange funds or even make arrangements to rob a bank to have funds in place before shipping begins!

Sadly, there won't be more Bond, at least until after No Time to Die. As for whether LLL can/plans to go beyond Arnold's scores, MV has not spoken.

MV, as we are approaching close to Black Friday (almost 2 months), for me the most important day in the calendar, have you pencilled in the potential releases, subject to approvals of course!

Yes but not talking about them in advance any more. No hype. Nothing. Folks around here and other boards ruined the fun so the titles will just come out. Hope you guys like them.

Sad to hear that. Can't wait to get the new batch.

Who said there won't be more Bond scores from LLL?

Dear MV,

Is there any chance for a Moroder's SCARFACE expanded/complete?

MV himself said it, I think either in this thread or another LLL related one.
