They seem to be focusing on the Menken/Ashman stuff, so I'm sure Aladdin is coming.

While they probably have less a chance of happening than titles like Mulan, Aladdin, etc., I wouldn't mind seeing releases of the "Package Films" of the 40's, provided the tapes for those films still survive and Disney can handle the legal red tape that most likely surround those films via the big-name singers attached to those films.

For sure! Fun and Fancy Free, Make Mine Music, etc.

If Mulan qualifies to be in this collection, my #1 Grail is ATLANTIS! Please let them include the Teaser Trailer music (thats clearly James Newton Howrd, yet not in the film...kinda like the Trailer for ALIVE.)

Can we not load this thread up with fake covers for releases that are not actually happening? Casual observers who don't read the threads closely won't be able to tell the difference.

I think the fact that most of the covers don't fit with Lorelay Bové's style might tip people who don't read the thread that they're fakes (the fakes are mostly stills anyway).

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the cover art used for the Legacy Collection. All these movies are so beautifully stylized, that they could have taken artwork right out of the films themselves. I don’t understand why they made the choice to go with these stylistic paintings. Ok wait… Let me correct myself, I understand to some extend: these covers mimic production artwork. And that idea is something I can very much get behind (especially for collectible editions like the Legacy Collection). But why on earth have them post made, instead of using original production artwork?

Take the cover art for Cinderella for example… it just doesn’t do the movie any justice, imo. Cindy looks as if she has swallowed a bee.

I also wished they were issued in standard jewel cases. wink But anywayz, my apologies for the negativity here. Apart from that, I’m always happy to see Disney releasing their soundtrack treasures with the world.

Yeah, it's the same bee that Ariel swallowed...

Never understood why we buyers had to swallow Lorelay Bové's twisted take on Disney princesses's sweet faces...
At least she's better when she paints animals:

Don't agree about the cases though. The hardbound book form is classy - and doesn't break!

Yeah, I originally hated the art style. Looks like Ariel is trapped in the middle of a lava flow and yes the faces are unattractive. Her style is very reminiscent of classic Disney artist Mary Blair. I do love her Mary Poppins cover though.

In retrospect she's a fine artist, and really understands color, and light and shadow. Her work is very whimsical. It just doesn't work for the Legacy Collection. IMHO. But lets face it Disney released the Legacy Collection for Disney "collectors" not fans of film music. Thus why it has stylized packaging.

I played that trailer over and over and OVER.

Other than the trailer, what is missing? Atlantis for me is like Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I came for the big submarine fanfare (that is, what? less than a minute?) and then I realize that the crunchy weird and mysterious exploration music on the back half is amazing.

BTW, I love the legacy covers. It allows a unified art style across a very diverse set of films. And they all feel totally Disney.

I believe the Entire score is around 90mins, so about 40mins unreleased.

On the Disney Music Emporium site, there is a 'Product Ideas and Feedback' contact form.

I just requested 'The Rescuers' and I hope others do the same smile

I emailed them last year and asked when they're going to do The Rescuers or any other new Legacy Collection title and they replied saying we don't have a clue what Disney is working on.
