I'm so happy that these continue to be successful, and I gladly contributed my modest pledge. Thank you, Leigh for your wonderful work! I look forward to hearing the results.
The Kickstarter e-mail notice gave me the designation of being Backer No. 102, upping the total to 4,641 pounds. So I guess it had to be Backer No. 103 or 104 who actually reached the goal.

I think Mark (an earlier backer) just increased his pledge to put it over.
Leigh is super busy at the moment and didn't have time to post here yesterday, so I figured I'd bump this thread to share the latest campaign update about a STRETCH GOAL -- possible because this achieved funding just so quickly!
There's more explanation at the link, but in short this is to add "Autumn Love", a lovely 9+ minute Goldsmith score which you can hear the original (unreleased on album) recording of here in rather variable, often quite compromised, sound quality:
Just imagine THAT lovely music in a fresh modern recording!
I have a hunch this is because this stretch goal hasn't been announced on Facebook anywhere. I recall seeing significant boosts and gaining decent traction from other Facebook groups that would repost Leigh's announcement
Less than two weeks left and things to seem slowing down... still a long way to go to reach the stretch goal...
Things always slow down in the middle of a campaign. That’s actually why Leigh decided to do the stretch goal (and also I think he prefers full sessions to half sessions when possible; they just make more sense in a lot of ways). Unfortunately launching the stretch goal also coincided with Leigh having to work a lot of 12 hour days so he hasn’t been able to devote as much time to promotion as he was before… which is why it’s helpful to follow Slitherjump’s idea and help spread the word ourselves!
As for distance to goal, I think we are closer than you think… the confusion arises from Leigh’s Kickstarter account’s base currency being £ (GBP), because when he created his Kickstarter account he was living in Great Britain still. But in 2020 he moved to Prague to work there full time, and his local currency is € (euros). Kickstarter does a thing where it automatically converts the campaign’s base currency to whatever the currency is in your region, so for Leigh he’s seeing a different number than I am in the United States, and a different number from what he would see if he still lived in Britain. The stated stretch goal of his update is €6300, which I believe means we are only several hundred £ away. I am pretty optimistic that stretch goal will be reached during the final week of the campaign, when things always pick up again.
Yes, all those currency convertions are incredibly annoving and make no sense... I see that the initial goal was 4700 GBP, which is converted to $5,710. Pledged so far $6,283 yet it is needed to raise 6300 EUR... so no idea how much in either USD/GBP needs to be raised. Quite stupid that kickstarter doesn't offer any option to convert goals/raised money to a specific currency.
Yeah it’s confusing. If Google’s conversion rate is correct, we are at a little over €5900, which means less than €400 to go to reach the stretch goal.
Yes, the campaign slowed down as these almost always do in their second week. But it’s still been steadily increasing since meeting goal just over one week in. I think there’s no cause for concern yet, and we can make a final push in the last week to go over.
Seems like it was freshly uploaded to YouTube around the same time you posted that, so THANK YOU very much! This is great to have, and can only make the recording better.
I noticed the webpage says you don't have access to "The Committeeman" video. It's on youtube, but missing end credits where Jerry's name would appear:
Thanks for putting that up for us! What a swell thing to do.
Since Leigh also posted a sample of the re-recording for "The Committeeman," he might be too far along for the original video to help. Wondering if there's other original videos he's looking for.
Off. We've got a long ongoing list.
We're looking for:

I sort-of meant for this particular music release, but I recognize two titles from the list that's been long available among collectors. The PH90 rip on youtube is very mediocre, not sure if it's indicative of the best copy or not. Was there a cd release with some "Breaking Point" scores? I know Gerald Fried had a tape of his one episode score.
Oops! Sorry i misunderstood, but thank you for those!
The Breaking Point theme (Raksin) appeared on a compilation, but I think that's it.
Speaking long-term, the sky’s the limit when it comes to early Goldsmith TV scores. One that Leigh has expressed interest in tackling as a new recording is “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, so other Climax episodes from the above list would be really helpful, for a prospective volume of Jerry Goldsmith at Climax Mystery Theater, to follow up Jerry Goldsmith at The General Electric Theater.
But strictly speaking GE Theater is the present project, so these are the episodes we have evidence/documentation that Goldsmith scored, but we still lack the episodes themselves: Hitler’s Secret (season 8 episode 3, aired 10/4/59) The Last Dance (season 8 episode 10, aired 11/22/59) Sarah’s Laughter (season 8 episode 16, aired 1/3/60) Shadow of a Hero (season 10 episode 20, aired 2/4/62 — Jon Burlingame saw recording logs) The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky (season 10 episode 28, aired 4/15/62 — we have audio only) Mister Doc (filmed 1961 as independent pilot but aired as season 10 episode 30 on 4/29/62)
Getting video for any of these would be very helpful for this project, especially for the eventual CD edition. (We know Mister Doc exists at the Paley Center for Media but that’s not easily accessible for Leigh, especially since he’s overseas.) Thanks again for your contribution to this important project. If you let us know your name we would love to thank you in the liner notes, for sharing “The Committeeman” and whatever else.
