Avatarded, the PDF you uploaded is blocked so it can't be downloaded or printed. Any way you could change this? I'd love to have this file for future reference.

The Promenade/Butterfly Comb.

Did anyone write more beautiful 'dreamy, new-agey, piano tinkle' melodies as touching as Horner.

This awesome set arrived this week with DAMNATION ALLEY, CE3K and ROBIN HOOD-POT.
What a fantastic package.

Kinda weird my favorite part of "A Building Panic" on the Back To Titanic release is actually on "Trapped on 'D' Deck" from in LLL's release.

My first post on this forum.

I've had this release of the Titanic score, absolutely love it, and finally have gotten the opportunity to listen to most of the cues that were previously unreleased. I actually like how the score is presented in its full form. My favorite tracks on the album are the film versions of "Southampton" and "Leaving Port", "2 1/2 Miles Down", and "Trapped on 'D' Deck". Disappointing that "My Heart Will Go On" wasn't included, but it's ok; it's been released numerous times before.

Anyways, I managed to recreate all of the film edits, using LLL and OST material. But in a few of them, I had to recreate some still-unreleased cues myself (especially "Drone & Chord", "2 1/2 Miles Down - Violin Tool Kit", and "Wild Piano").

I'm so bummed that I missed this release and when I look on La La Land's website it says "Temporarily Out of Stock". Does this mean that we might see another production of this set? Or, were all 5,000 units produced and sold? Thanks for your help!

"Temporarily out of stock" means...temporarily out of stock, with more coming at some point. "Sold out" means it is gone for good.

Thanks! That makes me feel much better.

Hopefully LLL might give an indication as to how many are left?

Titanic
Die Another day
Romancing the Stone
Less than zero

Thanks for any info

The fact LLL sold 3K of anything in this day and age, (and in less than a year) is amazing.

The age-old wisdom is that if you love something, you should buy it. Many times I've waited too long and the decision was made for me, sometimes after a couple of years of figuring I'd get it at some point.

I am finally getting around to building a playlist that adds music not included on the beautiful LLL release. While the comments (and a couple of posted spreadsheets) in this thread helped to identify some of the missing pieces, I am still unclear about a number of things. I am hoping someone more knowledgeable can help clarify.

I do understand that many differences within the film, and on the original Titanic and Back to Titanic releases, were due to extensive edits. I'm not interested in trying to recreate those. I am taking a simpler approach and just adding additional tracks, treating them as alternates or bonus tracks, if you will. This is what I have so far...

Adding:

My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme from "Titanic") performed by Celine Dion, from the original release
My Heart Will Go On (with dialogue from the film) performed by Celine Dion, from Back to Titanic
My Heart Will Go on, from the 1997 album Let's Talk About Love - this version includes the electric guitar and choral voices, and was the version that received the most radio play
Titanic Suite from Back to Titanic
Epilogue - The Deep and Timeless Sea from Back to Titanic
Alexander's Ragtime Band from Back to Titanic (this film version differs from the version on the LLL release)

I am unsure about the following:

Is there a film version of music played at the end of the movie when older Rose is sleeping?
Jack Dawson's Luck from Back to Titanic - is this an original piece by Horner not used in the film? Are there any other original pieces from Horner on Back to Titanic that are not on the LLL release?
Is there a piece called Heart of the Ocean, with different instrumentation, not on the LLL release?
Does Hard to Starboard from the original release include about 45 seconds of music not present on the LLL release or is this tracked from elsewhere?

For the items listed above that I am unsure about, I am not so much interested in editing pieces together as I am with including tracks that are not on the LLL release that could be considered alternates.

Am I missing anything else? Any help is appreciated!

Alexander's Ragtime Band from Back to Titanic (this film version differs from the version on the LLL release)

From what I can tell the recording is actually the same (as on Back to Titanic, which I assume is the film version), but for some reason on the LLL disc everything but the piano is dialed out. One can just /barely/ hear a faith bit of the missing strings with careful listen, and the tempos played at are way too close to be a different recording.
Could be wrong though.

Am I missing anything else? Any help is appreciated!

A Shore Never Reached on Back to Titanic is, like the Titanic Suite and Epilogue: The Deep and Timeless Sea, a recording with the LSO and not on LLL's set. They were specifically recorded (I assume?) for the Back to Titanic disc.
