I bought this shortly after Intrada released it, and ended up trading it away after a period due to elements that Horner would recycle into Field Of Dreams and The Land Before Time, but seeing a fellow FSM'er selling a copy in the trading section for cheap made me reconsider and buy it again. Glad I did, because it's a lovely score, a good companion piece to the rejected Elmer Bernstein effort.

Ha, Blankie - I recently acquired that one on vinyl off a friend (part of a job lot of about 50).

Along with...

(this was one of about 15 in the 50 that I already owned in other formats)

Great play, but I think I need to pick up Tadlow's recording. Can anyone speak to how good it sounds?

Don't hesitate even though its a recording its a cracking release Tadlow's cd's are stronger than most this is a major upgrade. KOK will be yet more exciting times, not many great labels in the UK their the forefront for sure.

Wilson's Heart. 2017. Christopher Young.

Had do idea about Wilson just snagged it off Amazon dirt cheap quite lucky. Quite surprised its a game score still Chris is well on point again up there near Hell Raiser for me, Moody yet bubbling with colour, love it.

Been on a Christopher Young kick today. Listening to The Dark Half, Hider in the House, Creation, The Monkey King, etc. Really sad I missed out on Monkey King 2 and can't find it anywhere for an affordable price, but that's what I get for not diving in when Intrada originally had it up (as I couldn't afford to embellish in soundtrack buying at that point). Oh well. Super excited for Pet Semetary!

That's a fine binge of scores. yep your right about Monkey King 2 its not cheap 38 euros the lowest, your only chance is the trade board or ebay one of those 2nd hand stores, decluttr or musicmagpie, good luck.

Damn shame Horner didn't get to score the sequel...he might have been able to lend a sense of dignity to that mess.

Very nice line-up. Also looking forward to Pet Semetary. It has been way too long without a Christopher Young horror score.

Trying to get into Fellowship of the Ring and so far not doing well. I just can't jibe with Shore, and come away feeling completely unmoved and not in a big hurry to listen again.

All respect to fans. I both want and probably should like this score better. I had to play Bernard's Sisters to re-enervate my ears lol!
