Yes, we've had that since the beginning (as well as A Marriage of Strangers, covered in depth on Episode 5 of The Goldsmith Odyssey over 5 years ago, and actually *both* Breaking Point episodes -- and one Ben Casey -- scored by Goldsmith.) I sent David a bunch of corrections to his list a couple days ago but I guess he hasn't had time to update it yet.
I noticed the webpage says you don't have access to "The Committeeman" video. It's on youtube, but missing end credits where Jerry's name would appear:
Shame about the missing end credits, as there is no cue marked "End Credits" on the written music (as there was for the other three season 8 scores we have in written form)... it seems possible the final cue "The Big Man" may have just been re-used as it is very unusually marked "#9+10" on the sketches. But this was still a *hugely* important share that came at the best possible time. Here's the latest update from Leigh, thanks to this:
Things have been a little hectic at this end (in no small part due to having only 17 days to orchestrate a 70 min film score!), so I haven't been particularly active on forums or social media etc. However, yesterday, the Goldsmith Odyssey team alerted me to a really interesting post on FSM; it seems that the lost episode footage for The Committeeman is no longer lost! A big "thank you" goes out to the industrious person who uploaded this to YouTube, as it has brought to light a significant feature of the original recording.
It's no secret that, because of the time-pressures associated with film & TV scoring, composers are often making changes to their music on the recording stage; it appears that The Committeeman is no exception to this rule. As mentioned in the campaign video, one unique sonority included in this score is the tiple (which is basically a small, octave-strung, guitar); however, it appears that (for reasons known only to the people present on the recording stage) Goldsmith changed his mind about featuring this instrument so prominently and decided to expand the range of the guitar-like palette. While listening to the episode it's very clear that Goldsmith eventually used a tiple, an acoustic guitar, and a mandolin for his strummed/plucked timbres. While, on the surface, this might not seem like an earth-shattering revelation, it does quite radically alter the overall sound of the final score.
The timely appearance of this episode on YouTube will enable us to produce an even more accurate presentation of Goldsmith's score for The Committeeman.
Guitar - Tiple - Mandolin
We're also getting very close to reaching our stretch goal for adding Autumn Love to the recording sessions. There has been a little confusion about the final amount needed, due to Kickstarter displaying regional currencies, but (at present) we're requiring just £296/ $361/ €341 more to enable us to add this extra score (no additional commitment is asked of current backers...the score will simply be included in your rewards)!
Thank you, all, and please keep spreading the word!"
He also replied to a comment with further clarification about the stretch goal:
"The amount we’re trying to hit (to get the additional score) is €6300/ $6672/ or £5487 (at least by today’s exchange rates)"
So LESS THAN $300 to go, for the addition of the beautiful "Autumn Love"!
I haven't been able to make my contribution to this latest kickstarter just yet but that "Autumn Love" is gorgeous! I'm so excited we should hopefully be able to hit the goal and get it included.
These rerecordings are magnificent. Goldsmith's music combined with the excellently recorded sound quality makes them even more of a revelation.
I wonder what backer will push this past the finish line! This already has tied with how many people backed the previous campaign (132) and with 12 days left it looks on track to surpass the first campaign's 154...
Less than 3 days left to join in and basically pre-order 30 minutes of previously unheard Jerry Goldsmith's music newly recorded with City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra for as little as 9 GBP.
I'm not interested in the next one until someone tells me how to download the last one, after I mentioned here more than once, a month ago, that I couldn't download it. Heard plenty of requests for cash since then, but still no help with the download.
Yavar, how can I contact you regarding some Goldsmith info?
You can email me directly at moradi (dot) yavar (at) gmail (dot) com, or also feel free to get in touch via mail (at) goldsmithodyssey (dot) com, which will go to all four members of the podcast. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hmm… 12 fewer backers than the first campaign, but 10 more backers than the previous campaign despite having increased tiers. Not bad. But why did the first two campaigns get the “Project We Love” highlight by KS, but not this one I wonder? That might have helped…
I should point out that purchasing through Apple or Amazon doesn’t come with the liner notes PDF I’m fairly certain.
Hello Leigh, thank you for sharing these recording sessions videos.
They sound all great, especially the latter one, who reminds me A PATCH OF BLUE and REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD a lot.
Can't wait for the early 2024 release of your sixth album with this great CBS Library Jerry Goldsmith material!
Thanks for the kind words!
I can't believe that we were working on this (on and off) for approx. 20 months and have finally captured all of what was available to record (at present) from the GE Theater series.
Admittedly, these weren't huge kickstarter initiatives (especially when compared to those run by Tadlow and Intrada, and certainly the upcoming Horner project) but I'm immensely grateful for the support and contributions people have made in order to fill this gap in the Goldsmith discography (in a digital sense...for the moment). I hope everyone enjoys the final 3 EPs when they finally make their appearance (end of Jan for backers...March for a general release).
