I doubt Varese are sitting on boxes and boxes of new discs and have decided not to do anything with them for a few months so I'd guess the discs aren't completed yet.

Oh yes they are! And they are all standing around the boxes, pointing at them while laughing at us the entire time! LAUGHING AT US!!!!

No. They are laughing at the folks here who think Freddie Mercury is a bigger talent than Elton!

I don't suppose anyone has thought that perhaps Mr. Townson jumped the gun a bit while he was going out the door?

It's possible that the titles just aren't ready for release just yet?

I'd relax until VARESE makes a OFFICIAL STATEMENT before we start looking a the clock and asking "Are they out yet?"

Just a suggestion.

I'm pretty sure most of us are just having fun with the topic at this point.

You mean, did he blow his horn when they ran him out of town on a rail?
Or was he hoisted by his own petard when he fell on his sword?
Either way, I hope they didn't throw out the baby with the bathwater when they deep-sixed him.

As they say in North Korea, I miss our leader.

I've never understood the fervor. They treat older titles like a backburner priority, they don't drop clues, their customer service is evasive. Yet folks swarm every time a club batch is announced.

A lot of it may have to do with people hoping for expansions of stuff only Varese could release.

I have always found Varese to be Pompous .... all the other labels do so much better . They have done some good stuff ... Dracula expanded etc , however in the main im not a fan

Bobby Towns just forgot that February is the shortest month in the year. I mean, think about it! January has 10 % more days than February! No wonder this failed.

The definition Pompous could be related directly to Mr. Townson himself. Will say no more. Also expect things to change somehow at Varese, yet to see if for better or worse.

This is all wrong!!!!...Most of you forget what Varese delivered to us.
Check the list!!!!
And if you don't wanna go back so far, check their fantastic releases just one or two months ago:
DRACULA !!! Probably THE RELEASE OF THE LAST FIVE YEARS!
MURDER BY DEATH.
LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER.etc etc.
I believe we won't ever be satisfied what so ever.Must be quite disappointing for all of the labels. And I admit ,I too, was part of that spoiled group , but was put into my place by Lalaland after my bragging about BUFFY etc.I understood the message and was quite embarrassed!

I think most of you are on a totally wrong track here !

Sorry.

"Most of you" aren't criticizing the label over its releases, but the lack of an announcement date for this final batch, and its bad shipping practices via Naxos.

There's a febb-you-air-e in 2020, also.

And three titles.

Over 300 posts and 46,000 views for an announcement that wasn't an announcement about some titles that never got...titled.
Not Bad.

But I don't get their place on the totem pole either. They're bigger than LLL/Intrada but smaller than Sony or Warners? Whatever. It's my problem. As a younger collector I'm probably too late to the party. I just see a company I don't understand who doesn't release titles I'm interested in, so it's not really a problem after all.

Never mind, carry on. wink

If I'm following the analogy correctly, what happens when the bigger dog take a bigger poop which the other dogs eat?
