He was a character that's for sure. I didn't have a problem with him either. When I first joined I found him to be occasionally annoying and provocational to the point of exasperation. At his worst, prickly--but never hostile. But once I had him figured out, I learned to have fun with it. I didn't find him to be abusive, per se. There are still others here that could more accurately be labelled as such, but they are just better at flying it under the radar. For the record, I feel a time-out would have been better. But it's not my day-care, and I can certainly respect that. Right on, man! I acknowledge that it’s not a score loved by many (in fact his comedy scores in general seem to be by and large dismissed, aside from perhaps some of the Dantes), but personally I find it an absolute delight! Also, good idea on getting another kitty to keep the pupper company. But it’s also done a great deal of good for the community. The difference is avoiding the problem or wanting to confront it. The difference is Mary Tyler Moore or Timothy Hutton. I would suggest that there be a thread specifically for, er, “unfortunate board announcements”.
