There is one score composed by Carlo Savina I'm dying for: THE HUNTERS OF THE GOLDEN COBRA. But for some reason no label has managed to release it. Does anyone know why this work is so elusive??

I'm also enjoying L'ASSASSINO HA RISERVATO NOVE POLTRONE, most satisfactory. Just got this one delivered yesterday; listened to it twice during the past 18 hours. The disc copyright on the back cover is 2014, but, since it wasn't available until Jan 3rd 2015, it's considered a 2015 album.

Il Tuo Dolce Corpo Da Uccidere arrived Wednesday evening - and I've been listening to nothing else but this since then. This is an ideal album - perhaps even quintessential Carlo Savina. Il Tuo Dolce Corpo Da Uccidere is representative of what Savina brought to cinema via his music. It's also representative of stylistic trends throughout the 1960s up to 1970. Il Tuo Dolce Corpo Da Uccidere is not unlike a brassy & jazzy Elmer Bernstein soundtrack from 1961 blended with Ennio Morricone's late-'60s female vocalise and fuzzed-out guitars indicative of the glam-rock/acid-rock era [with a little of Edwin Astley's ITV TV music along the way (such as "The Saint")]. This should have appeal to Americans as well as Europeans & Asians. I wonder why this title took so long to materialize on disc? I would have thought this Savina would've been released on CD around 2004 or 2003, ... not 2015.

Digitmovies has announced a 1969 Savina title for pre-order. While this item is listed as Contronatura or The Unnaturals, it's actually under its German title in IMDB (Schreie in der Nacht). By any name, it's gonna be a must-have for me: a crime thriller giallo directed by Margheriti with seances & lesbianism! Keep these comin', Digitmovies!

About one week after we get notice of Carlo's Contronatura, we then receive pre-order announcement from Kronos on Savina's 1963 comedy omnibus Le motorizzate! ... and these come after a 7-month dry spell (July '15 thru Jan '16) of no new Savina discs since L'Araucana ...

Is CEREMONIA SANGRIENTA (or THE LEGEND OF BLOOD CASTLE) any good?

Is CEREMONIA SANGRIENTA (or THE LEGEND OF BLOOD CASTLE) any good? Never saw or heard it, Graham, but - according to one reviewer - this 1973 Spanish horror is stylish & regarded well. What little I heard of Savina's 1975 Reflections in Black has me wishing for more soundtrack releases from these sorts of chillers.
