Having listened to the isolated score cues on Sony's deluxe DVD with a lot of pleasure, I can't see this release being anything other than "stellar" in sound quality.

That's great! Although I thought that the original release had pretty tight listening experience hitting all the major stuff.

It was Patricia Sullivan. Back to work...

Patricia Sullivan just did the mastering though, she wouldn't have produced the album.

For example who chose to include the 2 alternates that are there, but not any of the other alternates? Or chose to not include the original source music recorded for the film?

Also, I could be wrong, but it looks like "6M1A Boot Camp FedNet" and "11M3 Zander and Carmen" have possibly been combined together to create "Call To War / Bad News From Home"? If so that's an interesting choice!

Unless I am mistaken, there is a typo on the back cover (and press release), too:

I believe Disc 1 track 6 should run 1:19, not 0:19, right? If I am wrong about that I do apologize for bringing it up,.

And I hope this in no way comes across as me being ungrateful or supportive of this new release - it looks brilliant! How cool that we get the Bowie cover on top of the full Poledouris score!

I've been wanting those cues that follow "Bugs!!" for a very long time - excellent Monday surprise!

Well it's Varese - it wasn't going to be perfect. I see Volcano has a typo too - thou that's apparently corrected on the site...?!

Hahah!

Theoretically, there's time to fix the typos before they begin shipping out, if the right person at Varese is interested in making it happen (Volcano has a typo on the front cover too).

There's actually precedent for this: When Super 8 OST was first announced, "siege" was spelled wrong ("seige") in the art posted, but it was fixed before CDs shipped.

I never had the original OST, only a couple tracks of Silva rerecordings.....but come on, it's Basil in Space, I guess I have no excuse now....

The misspelling was only on this graphic. I just uploaded the corrected graphic and it's now at the top in the first post. All booklets that went to press were corrected, no worries!

Thanks for squashing those typos, DMD!

This is a long, long, long-awaited Grail with a capital "G" finally coming my way. So happy to see Zoë's cover of "I Have Not Been to Oxford Town" included. When I was a youngster, that was actually one of my biggest, most heart-crushing disappointments with the original OST. Thank you, whoever at Varese worked to make that song happen this time around.

Needless to say, I'm doing my part! Are you?

Tango Urilla out.

Are you referring only to the front cover Conducted / Condiucted typo, or also the back cover disc 1 track 6 timing typo?

So much worry over a typo. I never even notice them. But the update in sound quality is fantastic and this will be a good time for me to explore this soundtrack in full since I have never seen the film. I'm excited for this and Volcano.

It would seem that a certain board member with a certain feline name was 100% incorrect when telling us this would never be released today.

I'm thrilled to see it. I also ordered Spartacus: The Affordable Edition and finally got around to Gremlins 2.
