Some in POLTERGEIST, gotta look harder to remember where they are, since they're often out-shined by the baritones, trombones and tubas being all awesome.
I've been recreating Herrmann's score for "The Lonely" using sample libraries and have consequently learned a lot about the different kinds of brass mutes and their respective sounds (he specified cup mutes for that particular score). Love that muted brass sound.
As for the sound of the Harmon, Miles Davis' "My Funny Valentine" from Cookin' is the track that got me into jazz many years ago. It'll still stop me in my tracks.

Long before I had the HOOK soundtrack, I was checking this CD out of my local library. The version is much slower but I love the alternate arrangement at 1:17 with the muted trumpets. I kind of wish he'd done this on the film version.
