BTW I like The cover - it send me back to The time where The posters made the film look interesting

Hook
1941
A.I.
Empire of the Sun
Jurassic Park/Lost World

Now ET and CE3K

I'm sensing a pattern here. smile

Could a little series called Indiana Jones possibly be in the works? One can only hope.

Isn't Indie owned by Disney now? That would be Intrada territory.

Edit: Here's some info: http://ew.com/article/2013/12/06/disney-indiana-jones/

I like the cover too. Then again I'm a sucker for "midnight blue".

I actually prefer the OST album, so looking forward to listening to it remastered.

I had no doubt that The Triple LLL and Mike M. would get to release this one; it was just a matter of time. It will be nice to finally get "Stay With Me" (I am assuming it will be on here), the correct takes, better sound balance, etc. Not to mention proper liner notes. Kudos to Williams and his camp for giving their blessings! Ditto for Close Encounters.

I get that the Jurassic Park two-fer was a good indicator, but why wasn't it possible in your view that Intrada might tackle this, given their work on Jaws & Jaws 2?

Because LLL announced it.

It was possible for Intrada to do ET; they have a good track record with Universal. Just seemed more likely with LLL, given the trend with Williams titles the last few years. They seem to have cornered that market.

Roger Feigelson explicitly stated a few years ago that Intrada wanted to do this, but Williams wasn't interested. Clearly, somebody at LLL was more persuasive, or just caught him at the right time.

Funny thing is we asked about it right after Jaws but there was no interest in revisiting E.T. at the time. Things change of course. It goes without saying it's in great hands with LaLaLand. I keep pressing on the Indiana Jones titles, but LucasFilm is holding off as they solidify their strategy around the franchise.

If there is one score that doesn't need a remix, remaster or any sort of audio tinkering it's E.T. Lyle Burbridge and Bruce Botnick's original recording and mix is already brilliant.

Thanks for the clarification, Roger, and bummer that your timing in asking them was apparently just barely off.

Hey...Lucasfilm doesn't have any franchise plans for Willow at the moment, do they? smile

So lets see...

Jaws
Empire of the Sun
A.I.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
E.T.
1941
Hook
Jurassic Park and The Lost World

The Spielberg / Williams floodgates have opened.

What a great time to be alive. smile

Man, I got to say, personally, what ever their plans are, they've been terrible so far:

The terrible nuke the fridge Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

then they had a chance to ignore that and try to make a good film, but instead the next one is following that terrible film.

And I think I heard -- I don't know the truth to this -- that his son may take over. Yeah, no. That would be like making a "MacGyver" spin-off with that terrible son introduced at the end of the original series.

They don't actually....

I'd ask about Howard the Duck too but I'm betting Marvel's involvement complicates that despite both them and Lucasfilm being owned by Disney now.

OneBuck, don't forget Jaws 2!

Plus, non-Spielberg Williams scores like Rosewood also deserve a mention as part of this new Williams expansions era.

My all time favorite score!

This is easily THE release of the year.
