Hey Jason, please edit the subject line of this thread so that it says the correct title of the movie, “The Rise of Skywalker” not "The Rise Of THE Skywalker" as it does it now.
Feel the same as many here. Last Jedi soured me on this franchise but seeing this trailer brought back a lot more interest and dare I say anticipation for the last instalment of this series.
I can’t wait to hear how Williams in going to score that jump.
I've been told by a reliable source that they're going to lift the car-jump music from "The Man With the Golden Gun." The slide whistle will work perfectly.
The previous 'dead Jedi' ghosts have only come back as spiritual guides, right? So The Emperor should only be able to do likewise? I really struggled with seeing Maul at the end of the otherwise great SOLO. As a SW fan who has pretty much enjoyed the new films*, apart from ROGUE ONE, I worry Abrams, in trying to pull the/some fans back, might deliver some kind of 'magic blood' buffoonery I'll struggle to sanction. I have a bad feeling about this. Colour me troubled.
*yes, even THE LAST JEDI, which I thought was mainly enjoyable, despite some mis-steps and such (Leia Poppins/the whole Canto Bight sequence/Luke's motivations/acts).
According to this, Rise of Skywalker's score will only be eligible to win Best Original Score if an FYC is submitted by November 15th. Will the score be done recording by then with the squished post-production schedule? We'll see!

I'm sure they'll make an exception for Williams... but how is this fair to films that are released AFTER Nov 15. Why's the Academy punishing films that come out in the last month and a half. Makes ZERO sense.
