Oooh, that does sound promising. And if you hurry up and release it fast maybe you'll even get a few extra sales for people who confuse it with the latest Star Wars film.
Saw the film several times and had the LP once upon a time. Though I've not heard the music in more than 30 years, I remember it vividly. It's that good. I'd love to see the movie again.
I pre-ordered this and can't wait to hear this soaring, colorful score again!
When did you order this?
Ford A. Thaxton
Sorry to alarm you, Ford - I ordered through Intrada and it is supposedly in the mail. :-)
I've got my copy, but haven't played it yet (or the Holdridge two-fer it came with). I've been playing his* AMERICAN PROPHET CD a lot this week. Another gorgeous, Broughton-style winner. Great to hear BSX are on the Jenson case. They're really championing stuff by people I wanna hear (Poledouris, Holdridge, Jenson). Long may it continue.

Yavar
LOL!!
I know the SOLO which is outstanding.
If anyone else has suggestions, we're open to them.
And Kev, from what little I've heard of Jenson's ALAMO, unfortunately I'd say it's safe to say that if you've heard SILVERADO you've heard Jenson's attempt at emulating that score very closely.
Thanks for this release! I really like the stuff Dragon's Domain put out.
Ditto, The Belstone Fox, Untouchables + many more are great, i like DD/BSX direction on scores some are cults while others can be obscure finds. Thanks again I'm impressed.

This week BTW there will be two new DRAGON'S DOMAIN releases
The first one is the first ever CD release of a score from the early 80's by a composer who is better known as a recording artist then as a Film Composer
The other is a new COMPOSER COLLECTION release featuring 2 scores from the 1970's by a composer who has not received the attention we think he deserves;

Thanks for the info, i'll be very keen to look out for them, sorry to see the Mccarthy threads locked, i didn't get a chance to post a comment I'm interested in that release sounds a nice piece.

YENTL is available on CD. I had an initial spark of hope it might be DATE WITH AN ANGEL by Randy Kerber, but that was late 80's. Two scores from the 70's on the other disc. Sounds VERY interesting. Billy Goldenberg?
Back ON topic, I haven't given WINDWALKER a proper 'sit down and absorb' listen yet, but my initial play through was very rewarding. I love that 70's strings sound anyway and it's got a cool mystical vibe to it. Parts of it remind me of a Lee Holdridge score, which is a fine thing in itself.

- Roger Kellaway is certainly known more as a recording artist than as a film composer !! If it is 'King Kobra' or even better 'Evilspeak' then I am going to faint !!!
